I make this really quick...

#1. Those "ex players" you speak of are only there because them or their parents KNEW they would spend their high school careers as the #3 or #4 players at Memorial.

#2. 9 times out of 10, Those players/parents(from PA) that decided to take their talents to the middle of Jefferson County end up with nothing to show for their efforts. (Scholarships, scholly whatever you to call it)

I'm closing now.

#3. I know the few responses will be "Quality of Education", well let me just cut that of before it even gets started. If little"Susie" or little "Johnny" WANTS to learn they're going to learn. If they want be "dumb as a box of rocks" that's what they're going to do also. No matter WHAT SCHOOL they attend.

Now with that being said, good luck to the Bulldogs. Hopefully they continue that district win streak. Aleast for the next two years when realignment rolls around again, because those a South County Titans have been known to end streaks.
Good day.

I got my popcorn....

"spin it anyway you want"… .I see that alot from you puppy fans, but when Crosby or playoff games are brought up its somehow different. Strange. Like I said they matchup well and yall were quite lucky last year. A couple of "spins" by Central versus that DLine outcome may have been different.

Whooot, there it is!

Central matches up well with us most years. 24-23 loss to them at the buzzer I have no real issue with. Did you watch the game? I know I watched the puppies play em. Thankgoodness for yall sake yall had that DLine or it might have been a different outcome.

In any game, there are plays that would change the outcome the other direction.  We have been on the wrong side of bad bounces or a one play that would change a game plenty.   The game against TC in the playoffs comes to mind.

Bay City comes to my mind in the astrodome.

Bigdog, the Titans would are a whole different beast for the dogs to deal with. You don't really want it. You thought the speed and size for the mustangs the dogs problems.

Ok, we play Central , Ozen and WOS every year.  Are you saying they are slow?  Not to mention we used to play Lincoln and TJ and I am pretty sure Neumann had winning records vs both.

Making the trip to livingston sux for a district game, so its gonna really suck for a scrimmage. At least Reba wont be screamin over the PA!
I understand why u schedule livingston at some point predistrict. To see a motion running attack early helps with tackling.

So beating Central last year was luck? Is it still luck if you beat Central 3 or 4 years straight? Hmmm ... well, here's to luck..ha ha if that's what your calling it now.  I call it a quality team.  Things can change year to year, but the last 3 have been quite well for us.  Looking forward to seeing how this year, and the next, and the next and so on goes for the DOGS.  Nothing lasts forever, but it is fun to see them do well and have good seasons.  Isn't that what fans from other schools want to see from their teams as well.  PA bumps their gums a lot and disrespects what our program has accomplished over the past several years .... at least that is how it appears to me. Y'all whine about wanting to play little 'ol Nederland so much ... I wonder why you aren't wanting to play better talent in your own classification? I sure don't hear you asking to play KATY TIGERS !  ha ha and why is that?

A middle school could've beaten Central's previous regime aka The 3 Stooges. Last year was a 2 score game that could've been close had our qb not had the worst game of the season (4 picks thrown).

Soulja, give your team more credit that they deserve .... I went to y'alls playoff game against Summer Creek and Central played them pretty darn good and I felt y'all had a real shot of beating them.  I know y'all took some bogus calls by the refs that were game changers.  All in all, Central always has a quality team.

Aaaaaaaw that's nice. Dogs & Jags living in Harmony while the Titans are the mean 'Ol Bully. Cut the crap & stick to the topic. Tell BG why this game hasn't been played. Now that the pot is stirred (reaches for popcorn) Lol

Line 'em up ... another BULLDOG victory  :D

...yea, man. In that game, a key fumble, which was a 14 point swing and 2 big Summer Creek plays was our undoing...

Sames coaches as in '09 and '10 before the streak started.

Leftover talent from the Stowers era. Those kids were underclassmen then and was coached up and knew how to win. When that last crop (2010) came and gone, it was in the dumps after that.

Remember, this was the same regime that let 10 players play on defense for about 6 minutes in a game that we lost...

When one team dominates a district as Nederland has done recently, everyone is gonna give their 2 cents (excuses) why that team has been so successful during that time. They will do ANYTHING to undermine those accomplishments in order to make themselves (and their team) 'feel better'.

Good day.

3 or 4th string, seriously? You may want to do your homework and come up with something better than that. Remind me, which Nederland player just got a full ride at aTm??
If you want to talk talent, I'll agree that Memorial has more talented players. But please don't tell me you think individual talent wins games at the high school level! If you believe that, then please tell me how Nederland has defeated Ozen the past 4 FB seasons (maybe more) with less talent?
Clearly Ozen has more talent, bc many more kids have earned 'schollies' than kids from Nederland. In fact, most teams we play have more talent, but the score board seems to be in our favor more often than not.

ALL RIGHT!!!  first off, nobody from mid county could truly answer these questions since PAM came into play in 2002. hell, even wo-s was scrimmaging PAM when jamaal was there. all you posters/fans point the finger at "it's the coach". then you turn around and use the excuse, we play teams we MIGHT see in the post season. really?? smh...atleast bmt has the FORTATUDE to play PAM. as ghost said, those players were 3rd and 4th and because they "look" a certain way, they start in MC and it is suggested they play a certain way, lol you can have them lol. hmmm...all the PA kids that played in mid county, where are they football wise today?? yeah, i'll stay away from that and let you think about it.

why we don't play Katy??? look at the district katy plays in. they don't have a lot of preseason games. my my, we forget how PAM struggled to find anyone within 100 miles to play them a few years ago. glad to see houson lamar back as they was the closest team that would play PAM back then. sucks when you have to get midland lee to play you, teams from the valley, teams north of houston like the woodlands, going to tyler, san antonio,...yet right in our own back yard...nothing...nederalnd had no qualms of playing brook and beating the breaks off them...until stump came and that got shut down quick. PN-G was scrimmaging but stopped, i guess the result was ugly...oh sorry SCRIMMAGES DON'T COUNT OR MATTER...

funny, last time nederland faced PA they got SMOKED so did PN-G and never seen them since. that was the year before PAM and i guess you knew port arthur turned the corner and didn't want NO parts of PAM. hey i understand,(i mean no disrespect to WO-S) if  asmall school like wo-s that suit up maybe 30 on varsity is mowing ya'll down, imagine what the big red machine will do to you...not worried, two year from now,  PAM will own that district...hopefully it won't cripple them in the playoffs due to the dominance they would show.

Haha. Low blow my friend. What you don't know about me is that I played for the Dawgs many moons ago. I also played on the collegiate level! ;-)

I just don't follow HS football like I do HS basketball!

not sure why y'all keep bringing up, 'where are those kids now' ' the Nederland kids don't even get schollies' etc.
Is this thread about Which HS in the area produces the most scholarships?
Don't think so. I think it's about two teams gettin after it on the gridiron and who would (collectively) win the game, which has nothing to do with INDIVIDUAL talent.
Do you really want to bring up the overall records of WOS Vs. Lincoln, TJ or SFA? That's what I thought!

You are in a 6a district, and the only other team near this area is in your district.  And do you want to bring up Neumann's record vs TJ and Lincoln?   Nope.   You still haven't answered the question, why is it so important to "some" PA posters that you play Nederland?  Do you have something to prove?  Is there some hole in the soul of the team because they don't play MC teams??  Or is it that you "perceive" that you are losing talent to the MC teams and it hurts your feelings?
