Hull-Daisetta vs Warren Scrimmage

We have a pretty dang good coach that is a Warren HS alumni, and if memory serves me correctly he was a very good ball player at Warren so I do know that Warren is very capable of producing good athletes.

Babin is a Lumberton and aTm Commerce Alum.

Babin was the AD at Deweyville the past 2 seasons. went 17-5 winning the first district championship since 1985.

I don't have any idea what Warren is returning this year but I have heard nothing but good things about Coach Babin. The program has shown improvement the last couple of seasons and hopefully that will continue. I do know the kids always play hard.

Here we go again with the almighty SA Woverines lol. I can PROMISE you that HD has a more talented backfield with more speed than SA this year. Yes I know ya'll have JMike, but we've got an all-state QB too who rushed for 1800 yards plus two RB's that both run sub 11sec 100m.

 

 

SA, WS, Groveton, Alto etc consistently have more speed in the backfield than HD. That's not the case this year. Now speed doesn't equal wins, but I promise you we won't be boring.

 

 

And I'm sure it won't be nearly as exciting as Alto dropping 84 points on San Augustine last year, but we'll still have fun I'm sure. (and yes, I'm talking about football not BB)

SA will jump in backfield speed from last year and it is not because of Roberts. Your statement is silly. Anyone knows this. You made the same claim in track last year for the 100m and we know how that went down.

I know you were attacking SAWolverine but it's Wolves not Wolverines.

I can appreciate the fact that y'all have a good backfield...But SA has 4 guys that can go in the backfield. A freshman touched the ball 4 times with the #1 offense and scored 4 times last week. Another RB went 70 untouched on a sweep. Yet another went for 1100 yards last year.

I don't think my statement is anywhere close to silly. Doucett ran a 10.66 at the area meet. That would have won state if he wouldn't have had a bad showing at regionals and ended up one spot out of qualifying. DeBlanc is probably a 10.9 kid himself. Huck won area in the 110 hurdles, but he's not a true speed demon but he packs a load at 6'3" 210lbs. I agree that SA probably has MUCH more depth in the backfield and their secondary will be flying around. Same with West Sabine. I know HD doesn't have the number of athletes, but the quality of the starters is just as good. If those three stay healthy, they will all rush for 1200+ yards, all of them can take it to the house 80 yards on any given play.

 

Unfortunatley we haven't played any of the east texas schools except for Alto. I'm pretty sure those guys will agree that HD can compete with with those schools.

 

We'll see against West Sabine in Week 5. I don't think HD is as good as WS, as I think they are one of the top teams in Region III.....but then again that's why we play the games.

I just want to see how Woodville plays against SA. Should be a competitive scrimmage. I think Woodville is the clear winner though. But I could be wrong. SA is always fast and always gives us problems.

West Sabine scrimmaged Warren this past Friday.  WS's varsity scored 9 to Warrens 0.

I hope HD dominates in similar fashion. If not, we may be in trouble playin those Tigers down the road lol

Well, HD will not dominate in similar fashion as West Sabine due to the fact that West Sabine is much better. This will likely be an even match up.
