Gigem So finishing #5 in the country and beating the eventual National Champion on the road after all of you predicted A&M would get dominated in the SEC is not showing anything on the field? Quote
whatnamecanipick Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 So finishing #5 in the country and beating the eventual National Champion on the road after all of you predicted A&M would get dominated in the SEC is not showing anything on the field? Year 1 Great year, Surprised everyone in the country, including me, the self-acknoledged cfb guru of the world. A&M had amassed an incredible amount of talent under Sherman. Probably more talent than at any time since Sherrill. And they were doing it the right way. Nothing to do with SEC. Year 2 regressed, defense was terrible, still had the most dynamic player in cfb, still had amazing talent as evidenced by the NFL draft. Nothing to do with SEC. Year 3 Big year for Coach Sumlin's program. They say the proof is in the pudding. Sumlin has not got past the milk mustache yet, Got Milk? Quote
TxHoops Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 So finishing #5 in the country and beating the eventual National Champion on the road after all of you predicted A&M would get dominated in the SEC is not showing anything on the field? That one year window 😂😂 You know what their history is when they throw parades and hang banners for top 5 finishes. Mack would have had Kyle Field renamed for him had he been at A&M with the same results he had at Texas. Quote

BlackShirts5 Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 Year 1. That's easy. No-one in the SEC had really seen the aggies play, No one knew what kind of player J Manziel would or could be. No real good film to study until it was to late. Quote

No real good film to study until it was to late. Year 2. With zero defense A&M lost to 3 Top 10 teams by less than a touchdown each. I guess teams still didn't have time to study film. Quote

Got milk? Aggie fans just do not get it. You do not get a trophy for recruiting. There are trophies in the case for championships won on the field of play. Sorry but we have seen the results of great recruiting and poor coaching. It is easy to identify. Take the rose colored glasses off and look at the trends. If I were an Aggie fan, I would be extremely concerned about my program. Year 1 Two losses Year 2 Four losses Do you understand the trend, our do I need to draw you a graph? LOL Year 3 is huge.
