BigTicket409 Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 None. Every year someone questions WOS, but they will dominate again. When will other coaches in this area adopt their philosophy? Place your best football players on defense and special teams. skipper and outanup 2 Quote

queenb77630 Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 just asking i feel sure the mustangs might have there hands full with a few teams actually, after sitting and watching practices, the only road blocks we have is the students attitudes! Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 This is funny....... it is, I mean since no teams in that district are roadblocks. Quote
BellBiz30 Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 If any team has a chance I would say Hardin Jefferson. AthleticSupporter - Jock 1 Quote
Indianforever Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 It's not for district but I think PNG will give them trouble and maybe their only loss Quote
WOSgrad Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 At this point, all of the district provide roadblocks....that is what Coach Thompson would tell you. queenb77630 and marshman 2 Quote
skipmeister Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 WO-S is in a weak district so they will dominate although non-district doesn't matter but it will be tough! They are facing teams that went to the playoffs last season. I remember back in 2000 when the Mustangs played non-District teams and it was very tough! 3-4 teams out of five went to the playoffs the previous season (Ozen, Jasper (did not qualify), Bay City, Lamar Consolidated, and Central (may went to the playoffs)) and went through ok although we did upset Bay City (they were the number one team in the Houston area and like #3 team in State polls coming into the game) and survived Ozen (sloppy game and eventually became District champs in their district). Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 You know what, there is one team that provides a roadblock for WOS: its WOS themselves. queenb77630, skipper, VNUPE and 4 others 7 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 Hardin-Jefferson will be the Stangs only threat in district. This game will be closer than most expect. I still have WO-S by 13. robanadana, BellBiz30 and skipper 3 Quote

GUNHO Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 The only team that gave us problems in the past in this district is Silsbee and they are D1 now.As Buddy said...The only roadblock is WO-S themselves. Quote
dBerrySports Posted August 21, 2014 Report Posted August 21, 2014 I think the Richmond George Ranch and PNG games should present stiff tests. Non-district obviously but still... skipper 1 Quote
liltex Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 I thought WOS was playing Richmond Foster not George Ranch ;) Quote
dBerrySports Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 I thought WOS was playing Richmond Foster not George Ranch ;) You're correct, just confused the Richmond schools. Quote

BC and Lumberton are a far cry from being WO-S, particularly defensively. I will stick to my prediction of 13 point win for WO-S. skipper 1 Quote
GUNHO Posted August 22, 2014 Report Posted August 22, 2014 what did you see to make that statement like to knowHe saw a scrimmage and you know that tells without a doubt how good a team you have.If I rated WO-S season on their two scrimmages I would have to say they are going to have problems winning games.Think I will wait until preseason is over before making any rash statements.
