I think football season is the best time of the year... AND I believe Dayton has what it takes to win...As a team they need to play like a well oiled machine... every part has to work together in order to succeed. So Dayton wins.. hands down.

That Hurts kid is tough, should be a good game til yall pull away in the 3rd qtr. Unless Cview has developed this lil thing called a DEFENSE I dont see Dayton losing.

I know Milby was sad. But I have to say. The JV kids that played in the varsity scrimmage looked really good and quick. They want a spot on Varsity.

IDK man? Last year Channelview beat KP and Humble, Hurts threw for nearly 500 combined yards with 4 tds and 0 picks. Both KP and Humble then proceeded to beat Dayton, Humble did it handily. Dayton is going to also have to deal with Chris Jefferson who rushed for over 1400 yards playing in that 6a district last year and if the Falcons can stay in more games has the possibility to hit the 2k mark this year. Hurts is actually more sought after than Giles who gave Dayton all they wanted last year.

If Crosby can beat Angleton in Angleton then I say there's a better than 50% chance they go undefeated in the regular season. If the Cougars stay injury free I don't think there's a game they wouldn't be favored in at the time it was played until the playoffs. There will be DEFENSE played in Crosby, TX this year.

i totally agree. Channelview plays in a brutal district and is used to playing against much more athletic teams than dayton. Yes they get beat but Dayton's speed will not wow them. They also have the kind of big athletic qb and a good running back that could give dayton major problems. Also I don't think this game will make or break Dayton's year. It's the first game and Channelview may very well be one of the top 2 or 3 teams dayton plays this season. A win would be nice though so I'm going with my big time homer pick Dayton wins 31-28.

I think this game will be a good test and I think it will help to get us where we need to be.

No matter what happens it will only make us better and play like a team needs to play to make it to the play-offs and learn how to win the games that count.

I believe Dayton wins this game fairly handily. I think it may be closer than some would like, just because of Channelview's ability to score with their athletes. I do however think Dayton will be much better against the run, than previous year(s). That being said, I like the final to be 31-21

very true. I think the 3 teams that Brenham beat to get to the title game would have been horrible match ups for Dayton. Texas City George Ranch and Calhoun were all run heavy teams. Brenham had the D line and line backers to match up with those teams. Just like I think Dayton was a match up problem for Brenham because they were able to pass.
