smitty
Warren Buffett recently stated that he doesn't pay enough taxes. He wanted the Government to tax him more. Well, my, my! Look what he's doing. He's helping Burger King to pay LESS taxes by moving to Canada. Hypocrisy is dripping all over Mr. Buffett. http://www.forbes.com/sites/jeremybogaisky/2014/08/25/burger-king-may-get-an-assist-from-warren-buffett-in-purchase-of-tim-hortons/
smitty
When Buffett and B.Gates talk like liberals about agreeing they (rich people, obama's boogie man) should pay more taxes, I have a feeling, now, that they are playing a game to keep the vultures away from THEIR doors. It's clear Buffett believes that other people should pay more taxes. BUT -- leave HIS money alone. So, acting like he believes in what the vultures believe, it keeps him under the radar. Very interesting!!
Big girl
How do you feel about Burger King moving to avoid paying taxes Smitty?
stevenash
Those moves would not happen if the U.S. did not have the highest corporate tax rate in the developed world.
smitty
How do you feel about Burger King moving to avoid paying taxes Smitty? Why not? This is what liberals do not understand. If governments charge confiscatory tax rates, then business' can leave. And with it, usually goes jobs. Let me ask you this: What if the tax rates would be 80 to 90%? Would you still think they should stay and pay them?
