bigsoftballfan Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 FASTPITCH AMERICA SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION Quote
crush16 Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 It is an organization like USFA. Rules are the same but the games are longer. The tournament format is a little different. Quote
MomSoftball Posted August 29, 2014 Author Report Posted August 29, 2014 Where are the tournaments? Quote
Glennalf Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 I looked on their website - www.fastpitchamerica.net. They have tournaments in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Indiana, Tennessee. The closest ones I found were Eunice, Lake Charles, Cleveland, Livingston. Quote
crush16 Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 They will start have tournaments in the Houston area. They just got a director for the area. Glennalf 1 Quote
Glennalf Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Good deal. What are your personal thoughts about FASA? Quote

Armchair Quarterback Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 At the 14U, 16U and 18U level the question should be...What type of College Coach draw do they have? Glennalf 1 Quote
crush16 Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 My daughter played in a few in the spring. We enjoyed the tournaments. In the younger age group (12u) we got to play 5 innings. Which I enjoyed. Felt more like a real game instead of watching the clock. Quote
REALLY!!! Posted September 4, 2014 Report Posted September 4, 2014 They still have some bugs to wok out . FASA was founded by Bobby Hair ( formerly USFA) . They have some big tournaments in the Shreveport area and some in Lufkin and Longview. Just have to pick and choose where you want to go. I do not see it getting as big as USFA for the younger age groups down here. They do pull some teams from Ark and OK at some of their bigger events up north. Quote
Armchair Quarterback Posted September 5, 2014 Report Posted September 5, 2014 so....I guess your saying 14U and up stay ASA and Premier if you want to see College Coaches attending. Quote
