ISIS has been growing stronger and stronger for, what, 3 or 4 years now.  And obama says he hasn't figured out what to do.  Is this on purpose or incompetence?  Thoughts?

That is not what he said. He said that he was not sending ground troops to Iraq, because it would only be a temporary fix. When the soldiers left, the chaos would resume. The air strikes will continue.He also said that we are not taking any military action against Russia, the sanctions would continue. Who in their right mind would want that? Russia also has nuclear weapons. He said that he was flying out to speak with reps from the U.N.

Obama might the commander in chief but its not place to make military plans. If he says he doesn't have a plan its because the chiefs of joint staffs have not found an acceptable course of action for the situation.

I watched the speech and he said "we do not have a strategy" and yes its his job to make sure we have a strategy they report to him! Remember he lied about that too!
