Seems to me from this score/thread that Kountze players going two ways caught up with them in the end and they didn't have enough to hold off Shepherd. 

 

Also they probably out-adjusted Kountze due to the fact that Kountze has a basketball coach coaching football

I predicted 30-14 Shepherd win, ended up 38-18. Pretty close.

 

Also, what I was told prior to this game seemed to have come true. Shepherd wore down the Lions due to lack of depth.

Like i said,  its week 1 for coach and players.  I think they both learned alot for this game of where they are and where they need to be.  He will adjust, they will adjust,,,,but they have to stay healthy with those numbers or its going to be a long season.

Again I found nothing where a definitive statement was made about winning district or being undefeated...it was said we had the talent to accomplish those things with caveats!
