tvc184 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 A lot of bulldogs fans were on here talking about Central players not shaking hands now that's nothing on side of Bulldogs players getting ejections and back to back personal fouls so next time you guys write about Central kids talk about yours first now let me here you say they or just kids. You are comparing apples and rocks. I don't think anyone from Nederland will defend the player that got thrown out. A kid loses his temper and gets hit with a penalty during a play. If it is bad enough he is ejected as actions have consequences. In this case the Nederland player was wrong and some of his teammates almost tackled him knowing that he was wrong and shoved him off of the field. It happens in many games and to all teams. That is a far cry from what could be nothing more than a planned incident of no sportsmanship. It seems to me that players not shaking hands at the coin flip is unsportsmanlike and rude. It is not earth shattering or a federal case but it is what it is. A player losing his temper during the heat of a play is unsportsmanlike also. The difference is the defense of the offenders. Again, I don't think anyone from Nederland was defending or will defend the actions of a player that got ejected or disagree with the refs. bigned85 and outanup 2 Quote

IMO when he got the first PI call that shoulda been a signal (the way that it happened) for sure on the second one he got Neumann shoulda talked to him to cool him down, dont know why the incident happened with the Dayton player getting his helmet ripped off and him throwing a tantrum, he was amped up (which I like) but you have to control your emotions at all times ESPECIALLY when you are getting beat in a close game. BMTSoulja1 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Ok here we go: I thought Dayton started off way too slow tonight, shoulda started off passing down field to begin the game, starting off slow can cost you a big district game or playoff game. Alot of dropped passes by them too, but when they got going it was amazing, lots of speed and huge lineman. 20 was a matchup problem all night long, that kid is a beast. 15 is fast! 7 needs more open field vision he could have scored 2 tds tonight if he saw his cutback lanes. 9 surprised the heck outta me, that lil sophomore can GO! He has speed and toughness combined. The Dayton defense played good tonight overall I thought. Lastly: Dayton fans support yall team and come out to the stadium, mini crowd tonight, maybe cause of the early rain but I dont know. Now for Nederland: Seay IS Nederland. Period. If that kid doesn't play ball at somebody's college im starting an investigation, he single handedly kept Nederland in this ballgame but he needs more help. 6 came to play as well, thst lil man is quick with great hands. On defense 7 played great! 1 has to have a cooler head, cost his team 30 yards in the 4th qtr which resulted in Dayton putting the nail in the coffin in this one. Nederland you have to put Seay at WR if you guys wanna make the playoffs and use him in the secondary, he is your best playmaker. And lastly this team I saw tonight was small, one of the smallest Nederland teams ive ever seen, also kinda slow, run defense wasnt great, I think Vidor may give you guys trouble. Now for the Nederland fans: yes you packed your own stadium. Yes you were loud. But um why did yall start trickling out after yall cut the lead to 28-16 Dayton up 3rd qtr? Game wasn't nearly over at that point, I have never seen a Nederland crowd leave early at home before the 4th qtr, weird stuff. Great seeing all the folks I met tonight! :) Oh, you Nederland and Png folk come out on Tuesdays at Hamburger depot for our weekly show at 6pm. Good luck to both teams rest of the season. P.S.: my streak continues! Teams I pick to win and go see play while in my Arkansas Razorbacks gear are undefeated! We talked about this a few days ago. I assume that the atmosphere wasn't that good in the stadium.. Mr. Buddy Garrity and NDNation 2 Quote

Octfeb Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 I am like some on here. I have always had the up most respect for Nederland fans and players. I put them right up there with the respect between Dayton and Brenham. with that.. You can't judge the team as a whole because of a couple. The player that was ejected. He would not shut up. Scrambling on the Dayton player after the play, I have to give it the Dayton player. He laid his arms on the ground, to show he was not retaliating. I can't remember who it was. That is what led to the ejection of the Nederland player and him not shutting up. I still have much respect for Nederland fans and their team.... Good luck in your district... NDNation Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Usually Ned is very disciplined. Neumann not going to stand for that. I wouldn't want to be that player. I was shocked when I read about all the penalties. They will have it cleaned up by district. Octfeb and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote

Knoddy1 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 This is the receiving stats for Ned: Krautz 5-54 Perkins 4-64 Broussard 4-43 Bordelon 3-40 Seay2-68 Barton 1-13 January 1-8 T. Mayfield 1-4 We actually did spread the ball around pretty much, more than I first thought,we just did'nt get alot of mileage from them probably from trying to overcome the 176 yd in penalties. Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 We talked about this a few days ago. I assume that the atmosphere wasn't that good in the stadium..on Dayton side it was. By the tailgating it was. But not on NED side starting from the 2nd qtr on. It was a bit surprising. Quote

bronco pride Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Why, were you there?they were actually correct as crazy as it seems. Penalties and turnovers killed Ned and made the stats look crazy. Had Ned played sound football this game could have easily been different. Ned did what dayton did last week and dropped a ton of easy passes also. I saw at least 6 bread basket passes just flat out dropped. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
Brubaker Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Interesting take from you bronco, agree all is not lost in Nederland... by a long shot. Quote
bronco pride Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Interesting take from you bronco, agree all is not lost in Nederland... by a long shot.just what I saw. I think both teams have a lot to work on. Crazy thing is Dayton's first 2 games have seen 61 penalties and I'm not sure I have ever seen that. Quote
Knoddy1 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Just my opinon Dayton looks to be the stronger team compared to Crosby, but I think it will be good match up, a good game. Quote
JohnSmith Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Is it just me or does Dayton have the potential of a good running game if they would just give the damn ball to #9. He makes things happen when he touches the ball. He is definaty not afraid to lower his shoulders to make that extra yardage. Football Fan 4 Life and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote
