2002 Liberty vs Orangfield Bi-District Playoff game at Liberty War Memorial Stadium. Liberty won 14-10

2002 Liberty vs #10 Bellville in the Area Playoff game at Tomball Stadium. Liberty went up 14-0 in the first quarter. Bellville tied it up 14-14 at Half, and eventually won 23-14 only scoring 3 Field Goals in the second half to a tough panther defense.

Longs last year was 99 and they whooped Nederland that year.

Since its locals only, there has never been a game more thrilling than the battle for the DC in week 10 2009 at the Babe (PNG/Central). PNG blocks xp, Kerr or Benoit (don't member) catches it mid air and laterals to Dunbar who returns it 103 yards for two to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat!!!
I thought that old stadium was gonna fall down that night just as sure as I thought they'd catch Dre around the 20. Neither happened. 12 seconds of pure adrenaline. And that folks is why we love watching Friday Night Football.

Must've been after Long left.. enjoyed watching him. I didn't think he got a fair shot at A & M

OF @ HJ last year..

OF came out of the gate struggling mightily, a few questionable calls (awful actually) and a ton of penalties gave them something like a 0-32 deficit

They came out firing in the second half to make it something like 32-27 with 2 minutes left and the ball.. only to fumble and lose the game by that score.. talk about a heart breaker

I dont remember the exact score, but it was of that nature

talk about a wild OF section in the final minutes, what a game!

WOS & PNG was unreal last week too!

Ok, when skip typed that I thought, I didn't know kicker was Russ!

But you are the other great kicker from WOS. Hope your dad is doing well. One of my all time favorite guys.

HF vs Newton 1974 Bi-District game. HF was ranked #1 in the state and Newton was ranked #2. Newton was ranked #1 in the state to start the year but HF beat them 13-8 in the second game. Newton won the rematch 14-13 and went on to win state that year. I was at the game but was too young to remember anything.
