When 2 teams ranked ahead of you lose, your team generally moves up in the polls. I know Texas hasn't been in the polls regularly lately, but I still figured they would remember how they work. It's not rocket surgery.

A&M was #9, Mich. St. was #6, Ohio St. #7. Mich. St and Ohio St. lose, A&M wins. Aggies move up two spots. Seems logical to me. The polls have worked this way for many a year.

Rocket surgery? AAW, you make sense, but I am not angry about Texas not being ranked. They don't deserve it. I have never put much stock in polls because lots of teams have been screwed around for playing in the NC. Seems I am not the only one since we are having a playoff, but one that will be decided by a "committee" as to who goes. Let's wait and see who gets the unfair treatment. Plus, the only ranking that matters is when the season is over.
