PhatMack19 Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Ole Chuck @BruinReport So UCLA wins the toss and elects to defer. And then Texas chooses to kickoff. So UCLA will get it twice. @MikePereira: Wow. If I heard it right, UCLA will receive the kickoff both halves. UCLA won the toss and defered, Texas chose to kick. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 @BruinReport: The ref even turned the microphone off to explain to the Texas captain what he was doing. And they still chose to kick. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 3-0 UCLA. Hundley injured with some sort of hand injury Quote
htownfan Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 It looked like his elbow to me... It looked pretty nasty but they said he will try to get back on the field Quote

htownfan Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Total different team from last week... The defense looks like they are playing with a different level of intensity and the offense looks better and better as they open the playbook and give Swoopes more freedom... O-line needs to play better but it looks like they had a heck of a week of practice and the coaches put together a better gameplan this week... As always, Hook'em! TxHoops 1 Quote

htownfan Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Glad they made changes on offensive and kept the tempo up and the defense guessing Quote
horndawg Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Looking much better this week. Should make a lot of you guys breathe a sigh of relief. Even if ucla comes back, still a totally different team this week Quote

Even if ucla comes back, still a totally different team this week True dat. I'm not big on moral victories but after last week, just glad to see them competitive. Quote
TXHORN_ET Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Great clock management by Texas after the horns took the lead..NOT! Ran 54 seconds off the clock..KRAP!! Quote
horndawg Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 No, and I'm not one for fraternizing , but they looked like they wanted it tonight. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 They covered the spread which is better than most expected. That's almost as good as a win. Quote
htownfan Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 I do not and will never take a game as a "moral victory" but after the way they played tonight, it does give me hope for the rest of the season. Hopefully Swoopes continues to get better every week. Quote

Peppermint Patty Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 I would rather lose by 60. Might get that chance next time they play in Dallas. Quote
TXHORN_ET Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 A loss like tonight will have a lingering effect that will be difficult to overcome. I don't want to hear that we need to play 4 quarters, or that we just need to finish. The horns might be lucky to win 3 games..that is if Kansas and Iowa state cooperate. That said, at least the offensive line has another game under their belts. Quote

whatnamecanipick Posted September 18, 2014 Report Posted September 18, 2014 Coin toss videohttps://vine.co/v/Oagr6FQzBPA The player wanted to go to sec and play for Texas A&M. He was trying to be a good Aggie. BTW, his foot injury will cause him to miss the rest of the year. Get your laughs it now! IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN!!!! Quote
