Peppermint Patty Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 TBD He has not won a "big" game yet. Routs poor defenses for sure. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 False. I'm not sold on Baylor yet. Quote
Roper84 Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 Brokeback looked pretty good last night. False on best QB. May not be the best in Big XII -II. Let's see which Trevor Knight shows today. Quote
whatnamecanipick Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 False. I'm not sold on Baylor yet. This nothing to do with Baylor! Petty - not the best is CFB Just ask the guru? Quote
shovel Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 Not yet! There is still that Mariotta guy in Oregon. I'm still big on Petty though. Let's see how he plows through the conference schedule. TxHoops 1 Quote
TXHORN_ET Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 West Virginia QB Trinkett must now be the Heisman front runner and best QB in CFB seeing how he passed for over 500 yards today. Oh wait, he comes out of the same system that was implemented by Briles (Holgerson and Sumlin) at UH. Anyone else get tired of hearing every week when someone has a good game stats wise against inferior opponents how they become the Heisman front runner? Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Mariota Then everybody else Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 @McNamaraUO: In @WinTheDay's last 2 games, Marcus Mariota has thrown 7 touchdowns & 8 incompletions #GoDucks #SuperMariota http://twitter.com/McNamaraUO/status/514940492455616512/photo/1 Quote
shovel Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 I dont know... My instinct says Mariotas's the guy, but the Duck OL is looking weak. If somebody gets to Mariota and shuts him down, the door is open for others. I like Petty to be the best in the big 12, but the A&M QB might prove different. If Knight at OU can get through his Jeckyll and Hyde complex, he could be the top QB this year. While I'm impressed with Trinkett, he is an also-ran along with Winston due to his off field antics. Hundley is overrated and the only other quality QB that comes to mind is Cook from Michigan State. I will take Mariota, then Petty (at this time)! Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 Watch the QB at Oregon St also, Mannion, he's pro-ready right now. Quote
king Posted September 25, 2014 Author Report Posted September 25, 2014 Or Carden from East Carolina. Quote
whatnamecanipick Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 I'll change to Swoopes. HOOKEM Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 @BruceFeldmanCFB: Marcus Mariota now has thrown 19 TDs and 0 INTs this season, and accounted for 24 TDs on the year. #Ducks Quote
whatnamecanipick Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 What about the QB at Texas A&M? Quote
baddog Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 Petty is the best QB to lose yesterday. Quote
whatnamecanipick Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 Petty is the best QB to lose yesterday. You are trying to make me think. That is not fair asking a Longhorn to think. We are used to running things and have people think for us. [sharedmedia=core:attachments:158] Quote
TxHoops Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 Brice may not be the best QB in the big 12 or even the state of Texas. Was thoroughly unimpressed when I've seen him this year. Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 @McNamaraUO: Marcus Mariota has passed Andrew Luck to rank 2nd all-time in FBS history in career yards per play at 8.61 #GoDucks http://twitter.com/McNamaraUO/status/525008450557075456/photo/1 Quote
whatnamecanipick Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Swoopes may not be the best now, but may have the most upside. [sharedmedia=core:attachments:150] Quote
BlackShirts5 Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 How can anyone put Petty on the list but not put Halliday from Washington St. Everyone will say cause Halliday is in a passing system right. Quote
OldTimer Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 Petty has showed this year that he is a good QB but do not think he has proven to be a Heisman contender. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 How can anyone put Petty on the list but not put Halliday from Washington St. Everyone will say cause Halliday is in a passing system right. Most people in the country haven't seen him play. Not a lot of people are awake at 1am when those West Coast night games end. It also doesn't help that his team sucks. Quote
TxHoops Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 Petty has showed this year that he is a good QB but do not think he has proven to be a Heisman contender. He really struggles on the short to medium throws. Not very accurate for a QB with all that hype. No chance to play on Sundays IMO. Quote
