One4All Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Silsbee comes in and plays tough down to the wire. Partain throws a td to win it. 28-24 tigers Respectfully. .....LOL....LMAO Quote
skipper Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 i just hope silsbee is not a one man show like we saw friday Quote
stangx2 Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 WO-S JV does not beat Silsbee, Jasper, LC-M, PN-G, Richmond Foster, HJ, and a couple of other varsity squads on their schedule. Let's just end that discussion right now. So which ones would they beat? ;) Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 So which ones would they beat? ;) I don't think they beat any of the varsity teams on their schedule. May be a close game with Liberty though. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Here's the irony, I can see WO-S JV beating the Mustangs 1st round playoff opponent in Houston Scarborough. ;) :D BADSANTA and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote
Tyler Dixson Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Here's the irony, I can see WO-S JV beating the Mustangs 1st round playoff opponent in Houston Scarborough. ;) :D Huntington won by 50+ and WO-S would beat Huntington by 50+ so does this mean WO-S will beat them 100+ ;) Quote
skipper Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 the young DALLAS kid looked sharp when he was in at QB he had a TD passed droped he is one good kid and look for him to start friday. Quote
LB76 Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 With all the setbacks for the Stangs at the trigger position, it seems the whole team has stepped it up a notch.....They keep finding a way, and I think the same thing will happen against the Tigers. This is usually a very competitive game, so should be worth the price of admission!! Quote
JacksonslaDe05 Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Well guys check the thread from last weeks Jasper game, my prediction was almost spot on. This week will be no different. WOS in another rout.... WOS 34 Silsbee 13 Quote
77 Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 WOS has their number dont think this will be close! Quote
JacksonslaDe05 Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Fran. Do think it's over the top! Maybe, but realistically I can't see any teams playing WOS close in preseason or district. I would even go out on a limb and say WOS JV squad would beat most teams varsity on schedule with the exception of PNG and maybe one more! Quote
JacksonslaDe05 Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Whoa, whoa next week i think it is when WOS plays that team outta Richmond in the Houston area, i think WOS should actually be the underdog in that game. They are good and also ranked in 5A. They've been rolling... Quote
chukslegacy Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Griff, I can understand that! For me it's all about fun. I enjoy making predictions, and your right "on any given night" that's what makes it interesting to know it not a guarentee deal. Last year I picked Mustangs to win by 3 Td's against Silsbee and was told that was crazy because Silsbee had put up so many points and were favorites. We all witnessed that beat down. JV comment maybe extreme but like you said "on any given night"! Quote
griff Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Chuck, don't change a thing. 'Looks like decent football weather is coming Friday. Hopefully, I'll see ya there. Quote
skipper Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 i dont belive there be a lot of talk this week on this game just my feelings ,lets just rumble friday night Quote
stangx2 Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Well let me say our JV is an awesome team and I can tell you that they let any varsity know that they would have been in a game, Not saying they could beat everyone, but I think they might could pull out a few wins. Silsbee is a team if you don't respect them they can bite you. They lost a lot to graduation and they are still trying to get their feet wet. When they finally gel they will probably be the typiical Tiger team, hard to beat. That being said WOS is too tough for them this year. Should be at around 2-3 td's I would think. Quote
biaplayer Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Stangs will stampede over the tigers, maybe worse yhsn last year. Quote
TxHoops Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Not so fast AAW. Not so sure Chuks' JV comment was so ridiculous. We have already seen that as a small 4A school, they have half a dozen QBs that can flat out play. For a school their size, they really do have a RIDICULOUS amount of talent. Quote

TxHoops Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 I'm not saying Silsbee, LCM, png, etc. but I do think they could compete, and possibly beat, some of their other district foes' varsity. I am just saying I wouldn't dismiss the comment as laughable. I do agree Fran that there is a big difference though. Quote
skipper Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 silsbee fans will get a first hand look at wo-s jv this week at there house Quote
NewtonNation Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 How many players are on the Mustang JV? Varsity only suited out 31 in the Jasper game. Quote
chukslegacy Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 AAW, you need to come and see first hand what WOS JV squad is all about. You might just change your opinion! Quote
