David made a good decision to step away from football. I know this had to be tough to do. It was the right thing to do.

 

David, good luck in your life after football and thank you for the time you put in for the Longhorn program.

Truly hate to hear this - looks like the Texas program is doing the right thing as well - kudos to Strong and Patterson.

Just caught some of Davis Ash's press conference replay and read an article on sports network. 

 

Texas lost if not a star QB what appears to be a quality person - I was truly impressed with him.

 

Some highlights:  "I am a victor not a victim", "I want them to remember what I stand for more than my abilities." and "I just wanted a chance to say thank you to the fans.".

 

Texas could do worse than make sure this young man is taken care of.

Amen. Ash devoted a lot of his time to the FCA in Austin. The guy that was (and maybe still is) running that group is from Orange. Said Ash is one of the most genuine, likable kids he's ever met.
