Cat22 Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Orangefield only has 4 home games this year and this was really the only game to have Homecoming. Their first home game was two weeks ago and homecoming is not good for a first home game. Besides Newton, the only other two home games are district games. OF always try to have homecoming before district games start. Quote

OF always try to have homecoming before district games start. This. OF definitely wasn't picking a game they were confident of winning. Coaches don't like district games as homecoming so this was the only one that "fit" the schedule. Ideally, they could have worked kelly into this slot but it didn't work out schedule-wise. I doubt anyone at OF was/is chalking Newton up as a win. Quote
EAGLEFOREVER Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Y'all may have picked a good year. Quote
TxHoops Posted September 23, 2014 Report Posted September 23, 2014 Y'all may have picked a good year. Newton is better than their record or the credit they are getting right now. Quote

Back2swag Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 Well your one of the few Newton fans that's worried. They will be fine , it's Newton they have always had turnover promblems . Just playing alot better competition . NewtonNation 1 Quote
EAGLE1984 Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 After the non-district schedule Newton should be ready for anything bsshaver 1 Quote
Back2swag Posted September 24, 2014 Report Posted September 24, 2014 Your right about that, Newton has 270 kids in high school this year .. Facing 5 teams in predistrict with enrollments between 600-1000 .. When Newton starts playing in there division they will be fine . Quote
