Some people have Kansas as the 10th best team in the conference, but I'll stick with 12th. Kansas is terrible. Even so, I wouldn't be surprised if they covered that spread. baddog
Texas just needs to play every team as they come. Don't be sidetracked by the hooplah. Just go out andplay solid football. BlackShirts5
Texas will win this one by at least 24. I wouldn't call beating Kansas a statement game though.

I wouldn't call beating Kansas a statement game though. labeled "statement game" by a Texas A&M poster. Coach Strong is the 4th coach in a row at The University of Texas to start regime 1-2. Really shows how bad the program has to get before we fire our coach and start the three year rebuilding process. OldTimer
Sorry when you get blown out by BYU and lose to a good but struggling UCLA team and you are the Savior for a struggling big time program - every game for coach Strong needs to be a statement game. Peppermint Patty
It's an under-statement game. Texas should win. That's an understatement.

Peppermint Patty
Another player bites the dust Same player, just finalized his dismissal. Cutting off some more mold. AUSTIN — Texas offensive tackle Kennedy Estelle has been kicked off the team, becoming the ninth Longhorns player to be dismissed since Charlie Strong took over as head coach this year. Estelle, a 6-7, 285-pound junior from Dawson, had been suspended since early September, and Strong said Monday he expected his opening-week starter to return to practice within the next few days. But the school announced Tuesday that Estelle had been dismissed for an unspecified violation of team rules — the same explanation UT gave for the departure of six other players. The other two, wide receivers Kendall Sanders and Montrel Meander, were kicked off the team this summer after they were arrested and charged with sexual assault. Estelle played in 16 career games for UT with nine starts. If he’d returned to action, he would have been the Longhorns’ most experienced available offensive lineman. #62jjohnson
Im sure he saw the same type of attitude along with talent and problems at Florida. While urban myers looked the other way and won national championships. He also had Tebow too take the attention off the thug and hoodlums that were some of their best players on that team . im sure strong made a note that he would not let these highly recruited players playing at texas get away with what went on at florida . You have too destroy first in order too build anything , if that means mindsets , bad attitudes and law breakers then so be it . They dont deserve to play at any college especially if you have been warned numerous times . whatnamecanipick
