whatnamecanipick Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 SMU is last in scoring offense and last in scoring defense. Totally the wrong ends of the spectrum for the Ponies. SPCFBG Quote
Green Menace Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 SMU football is in shambles. I witnessed it first hand when they played North Texas in Denton. Quote
Eazy Posted October 4, 2014 Report Posted October 4, 2014 Last in scoring offense and defense. Yes, when you are outscored 12-202, that tends to happen. Looks like they might want Mack Brown to turn it around. Quote

PhatMack19 Posted October 7, 2014 Report Posted October 7, 2014 Not a good choice for SMU, but it would give the Texas Aggies something more to talk about. I think it will be a good fit for both. Mack won't be expected to win championships at SMU and they have plenty of big time boosters for him to rub elbows with. Quote
CRUSHCOACH Posted October 7, 2014 Report Posted October 7, 2014 I also think it would be a good choice. Mack can recruit like no other and I'm sure he learned a valuable lesson about hiring a good coaching staff to get the most out of his players. Quote
TxHoops Posted October 7, 2014 Report Posted October 7, 2014 Smu would instantly get better recruiting classes than anyone in the state not named A&M, Texas or Baylor. IMO Quote
whatnamecanipick Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Posted October 8, 2014 I also think it would be a good choice. Mack can recruit like no other and I'm sure he learned a valuable lesson about hiring a good coaching staff to get the most out of his players. No he did not and that is why it won't work. But go ahead and tell everyone that you heard it from the guru. SPCFBG [sharedmedia=core:attachments:151] Quote

TxHoops Posted November 28, 2014 Report Posted November 28, 2014 It is being reported that Chad Morris is taking the SMU job Wouldn't you think he could get a better 1st HC gig than that one? Bigger challenge than he needs IMO. Quote
TxHoops Posted November 28, 2014 Report Posted November 28, 2014 However, Chad is from Edgewood so he will be an hour from home. I suppose that was an enticement. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted November 28, 2014 Report Posted November 28, 2014 Rumors are that he would get $3mil a year which would put him in the top 25 of coaches salaries. Quote
