badndn Posted November 28, 2014 Report Posted November 28, 2014 Rumors are that he would get $3mil a year which would put him in the top 25 of coaches salaries. $3 mill a year for three or four years then back to being an assistant vs waiting till end of the year and probably getting a much better job with real potential in a power conference. Michigan and Florida are hiring meaning cards are gonna fall all over the place. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 Looks like it's official at $2 mil a year. I would have thought he could get a better job http://www.tigernet.com/update/coach/SMU-announce-Chad-Morris-head-coach-Monday-18067 Quote

RaiderRed30 Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 Needed to be a HC first. Now his resume is complete. Assuming he can coach, he will move up the ranks soon. He may choose not to. If he gets the alumni to back the program financially and starts winning SMU could be a good fit for the Big 12 if it ever expands. The money is there for that program and now they have a Texas coach to recruit and there is precedent with him to be good. Just look 2 hours south another former Stephenville coach is doing pretty good at a school nobody thought could win. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted December 6, 2014 Report Posted December 6, 2014 @ESPNStatsInfo: SMU win snapped 13-game losing streak, the longest active streak in FBS. Every FBS team has a win this season. @SBNation: SMU won their first game of the year! They didn’t remember how to do the victory formation: http://t.co/gFvPX2LPC1 https://t.co/qSjhsUmgXs Quote

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 That's not going to be good. Nope. Wonder if a certain coach knew this cloud was coming over the University… Quote
