I would not change the venue of the game, but I might look into changing the day of the game to a Saturday. They might be able to sell TV rights to the game and boost revenue.  After all, this is the marquee game and deserves the spotlight of its own day.

I say NO!  Why give all the money away to the rented stadium?  You MIGHT sell more tickets, but not enough to offset the additional costs.

The problem with using Lamar's stadium is getting the stadium when there is no Lamar game at home or even on the road. Lamar will not host a high school game the night before one of their home games. Ain't gonna happen. LU does not like having to have people "stay behind" to accommodate for a high school game when they are on the road. That is why you do not see any high school games played at PUS during the season. Lumberton/HF game was on a Thursday before Lamar had their first game. Playoff games have been played there but only after Lamar season has ended.

 

The only way I see MCM played at Lamar is for it to be played on a Saturday when Lamar is off. That would be only by the luck of the schedule.

that did not answer my question. another poster said it would cost too much.  that got me to thinking how much does it cost to rent the stadium. anybody have a ballpark on cost?

Lumberton and HF got charged $5000 each for the game this season. Only know this because my sister's dad works there

Nope. We have different dads. He used to be my step dad. My dad lives in Jacksonville Florida
