bedelmon Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 How you know????? You aint played them..... You got beat by a team that got beat by Tatum handedly.... Quote
Guest Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 First of all WOS is better than Tatum, OF, and Hooterville. Yeah Newton beat us and they shouldn't have, doesn't mean we are not the more talented team. Means on one night they played better than us. Can we get a video feed of you eating the crow? WOS is the "more talented" team every year and never gets out of the region. Tatum is in a different solar system than WOS. WOS is not allowed to be compared with Tatum. Quote

Riding Solo Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Look guys I am not a big WOS fan, I would love to see Orangefield beat them but I do RESPECT their kids, coaches and system. Here are the facts plain and simple, WOS has dominated at the district level for many years in football at all levels the 7th, 8th, 9th and jv. What other school can say that? The answer is zero !!!! Will they continue this trend? I hope not but regardless of what anyone thinks WOS has earned respect from this bobcat faithful. Falcon said WOS has not made it out of regionals, this is true but also look at the teams who beat them. Some have either won the state championship or made it to the title game. When district play is over and our teams go to playoffs we will all be pulling for each other. LND09 1 Quote
mytwocents-28 Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 I see what your saying solo, yes WOS has dominated the district year in and year out. Yes they have been the measuring stick for 3a, 4a and sometimes 5a schools. Yes they have an amazing tradition that very few schools have and yes they have earned respect BUT what the other teams are saying is they are beatable, and IMO I would put HJ as the favorite in that game at this point of the season simply because of who they have played and who WOS has played. History is great and all and its fun to talk about but theyrr not talking about past years. They are talking about this year. Quote
Guest Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Dear Hufferman fan: Tatum Sucks. Signed, Gilmer, Chapel Hill, HJ and Gladewater P.S. What's a Hufferman? You could make an argument that WOS could beat Chapel Hill. Gilmer and Gladewater would each walk it dry on WOS. HJ is the favorite to win district. Not concerned about Huffman though they are better than WOS today. Tatum plays in the toughest region in the state with no debate. WOS has no concept of what playing in districts with Carthage, Kilgore, Gilmer, Henderson, Gladewater, and Tatum is like. Quote

GATA! Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 i think if newton was to play a second game with tatum it would be a closer game, carry on my friends. Quote
CraigS Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 HJ is dinged up no doubt about that 2 starting backs and both of our corners but the kids that came in for them stepped up J Jacks was in beast mode. Hopefully we can lick our wounds and get ready for next week is this setting up the excuse for getting beat by WOS... hope not. ... cause the #3 QB for WOS won't be used if the stangs only win by 3 scores instead of 5 Quote

stangx2 Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 If we are going to judge a team by who they beat, Newton has been "jelling" all along. Maybe Tatum and OF are better than Newton.... Maybe WOS is not....Maybe WOS is just not as good as the WOS faithful think... Maybe HJ and OF are the teams to beat this year....Only time will tell.... I will eat my crow right here for everyone to see.... Orangefield was much, much better than what I expected.... Our special teams has been mediocre at best and OF capitalized on it....Twice! I have faith in our kids, in our coaches, and in our system.... Now HF is next on the list... See you in Hamshire...... Lot of maybe's my friend..you can say all you want but deep down do you REALLY believe? Quote

I am originally from west Texas. Even at the opposite end of the state, they are very aware of west orange stark. They wouldn't have any idea who Huffman is or be able to find it on a map on a bet. I thought someone asked about a "Hufferman". Huffman is a school in SETX that I attended in the 1980s. I have not been there since 1990 and have not watched a football game since my last game in 1988. If they shut the program down I would lose no sleep. They are however, currently ranked #2 in the region and undefeated. Unlike WOS who recently lost to a 3A school with a .500 record. Quote

bedelmon Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Stangx9, I REALLY believe...... You guys haven't proven anything this year..... Your only notable win is PNG and I guarantee you, they cant stay with us......... You have 20 excuses on each thread as to why Foster and Newton beat yall... You have excuses as to how OF beat Newton and how we beat Tatum.... C'mon man, you are the one that needs to get off the "sauce"..... Your the one that needs to get real and recognize... I am in the best position here.... If WOS beats HJ, good for you, you beat sorry ol slow HJ.... But when we beat WOS, you got beat by sorry ol slow HJ..... Its a win, win for me.... Quote

oldschool2 Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Maybe not a "win, win"...... I have a feeling this season will turn out not good for HJ. You think y'all actually might go to and win state? What a joke. Maybe you do beat WOS. That just proves they aren't good enough to leave the region...again. They won't anyway because they let Newton beat them. That's not championship caliber. HJ hasn't proven a whole lot yet either. You beat Tatum...who I think is solid. Not great, but solid. And I missed that one... But...No matter how you spin it it was a 1 possession game. And they are getting embarrassed in their district. None of this matters because it won't help anything. Congrats on your good start...hope you beat WOS just because. Who knows...maybe HJ goes from bball school to football school. Riding Solo 1 Quote
