drich329 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Im going wit underdogs HF in the Cheeks Bowl Quote
bullets13 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 HF is improved this year, but they've lost to the only two good teams they've played, and only had close wins against Kelly and lumberton... So while they're better than last year, I'd still expect HJ to win easily. I'll say the hawks take it 41-13. Quote
texas13 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 If king gets outside the pocket like arnold did against hj then watch out. HJ still scores 4 or 5 tds. The key is containing king and make him throw Quote
bullets13 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 The thing is... Kelly put up 30 points on HF. Lumberton put up 41. The more I think about it, the more I wonder if HJ might not hit 50, even with their methodical offense. Quote
swampdude Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 HJ big. H-F will hang for a while, then the dam will burst! Quote
chukslegacy Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 HJ beats HF in a close game! HJ is not as good as some posters think! HJ by 3pts Quote
bullets13 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 HJ beats HF in a close game! HJ is not as good as some posters think! HJ by 3ptsEven if this is the case, HF is the SIXTH best team that HJ will have faced this year. and they've beaten every team they've played by more than three. Quote

Ty Cobb Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 HJ will win!!! I don't know by how much, but they will win the game. Quote
MoFo Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Our molasses like running backs trudge forward for a mind boggling 37 yards rushing, our non-athletic defense allows HF to score 60 points in the first quarter and the game is called due to lack of interest by HJ fans and the coaching staff knowing we have NO shot at a district win or a snowflakes chance in Hades of making it to playoffs. In a desperate grasp for a saving season Coach Dubois and staff changes to a spread offense and appeals to the UIL to allow us to have 15 men on the defensive side of the ball. In other news WOS is given the state trophy for historical excellence. bigblue02, HJ85 and HJ2012 3 Quote

stangx2 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 hj wins this one easily..it will be HF and Liberty battling for that last spot. KIng is an excellant qb, would love to see him play on a little better team. HF will battle for a half then hj runs wild. Quote
HJ2012 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 HJ beats HF in a close game! HJ is not as good as some posters think! HJ by 3pts Come on, man! 3 points? No team has come within 3 points of HJ all season and you expect HF to do it? HJ beat OF in a game that really shouldn't have been that close at the end. Oh yeah, I seem to have forgotten, HJ isn't that good this year. chukslegacy 1 Quote

HJ scored on a short field because of 2 muffed punts. You take the turnovers out of the equation and the final score could have been different. HJ won plain and simple I do not dispute that. But in reality this game could have went the otherr way. That is high school football for you. Sports10 1 Quote
Riding Solo Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Back on topic, HJ has no problems winning this game, I say 28-7. Quote

That is high school football for you. In the Tatum game HJ had two AWFUL punts (I want to say one went about 5 yards), but they still stopped Tatum from moving the ball. And if you watched closely, the reason OF threw the interception is because the QB was getting pressured, and our secondary held up and made the grab over his head. HJ forced the turnover, OF didn't just throw the ball away. Regardless of the short field, HJ still moved the ball. If you want to talk costly turnovers, Thompson fumbled the ball on the 1 yard line on the opening drive. In the replay you can see that no one touched the ball, he just dropped it. Bobcats got the ball back and couldn't capitalize on it. The turnovers went both ways. I really don't think the argument can be made that that was the deciding factor. Team Game 1 Quote

HJ2012 Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 what does the Tatum game have anything to do with Orangefield A comment was made that OF had some bad punts that cost them. I was referencing a game in which HJ had bad punts earlier in the season, but didn't let that hurt them. That's why Tatum was mentioned. Quote

AthleticSupporter - Jock Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 Back on topic, HJ has no problems winning this game, I say 28-7. The only way HJ only scores 28 is if the game is called at halftime. If they play 4 quarters, HJ wins by 5 TDs. Let's call it 49-12. Quote
Riding Solo Posted October 13, 2014 Report Posted October 13, 2014 It is funny how every year there is one fan base that to be honest is good for setxsports. First is was Kirbyville then the L-Train and now HJ. I love it. :) Quote
