The one that gets the most hype by the media is Mid County Madness.

True. But I think the hype is deserved. The players of those schools bleed Purple and Black and Yellow. They dream of playing in that game when their 6 years old. Their is so much tradition in the Midcounty madness game that it deserves the hype.

Call me a homer but Midcounty Madness isn't hype it's for real. Nothing I've seen can match it.

But it's not only football, it's every sport.

I think what has set Mid-County Madness apart from others, especially recently, is that it has been a regularly played series that has been a regularly contested. That is, it is a game played every year and every year there is no prohibitive favorite.

The Beaumont Bowl is huge as well. As stated earlier there are several great ones.

Bayou Bowl Louisiana vs Texas. One of the best games year-end and year-out. Texas won two of last three by last second efforts.

A must see game to be Played on June 10th in Baytown at Stalworth Stadium.

I think PNG and Ozen has the potential of being a good rivalry since all the controversy of the last couple of years. But I sure do miss the PA mid county games though.

2 games I'm really looking forward to this year are Silsbee vs PN-G and Silsbee vs Newton. Those should be some great ones!!

Hardin-Jefferson/Hamshire-Fannett-The last two years it has had not only the atmosphere of a rivalry, the kids call it the Cheek Bowl, but playoff implications. Looking forward to it!
