baddog Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 I wouldn't trade Cherokee for a recording over speakers. Never get tired of hearing it. When you have been hearing it since first grade, I guess it becomes second nature. Cherokee does not bother me. Quote
NDN06 Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 No loud recordings for the indians tonight. Recordings? Quote
NDNation Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 They will enter the field with music over the speakers instead of their band playing the fight song. Quote
Michele Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 They will enter the field with music over the speakers instead of their band playing the fight song. We enter the field to "Conquest" played by our band for first half .... second half they play the fight song  Quote
NDNation Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 So what is the Recordings thing about? Quote
NDOMAKONG Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 They only play the music as the kids are walking to the field from the field house, they enter the field to the band playing Quote
Michele Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 honestly...the only recording I know of is the one of the fight song that they play for JV/FR games since our band isn't at those games Quote
Michele Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 thought they were referring to fight song....my bad Quote
NDNation Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Don't they play "Who let the dogs out"? Quote
Michele Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Nope ... haven't played that in years! Once the jumbotron came in they started with Metallica songs Quote
baddog Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 We intro our players to Metallica's "Wherever I May Roam" at the start, and in the second half, it's Metallica again with "Enter Sandman" ! I see nothing wrong with this as I like Metallica and both songs. Why make fun of this? Good thing I have never heard Queen's "We Will Rock You" or "Another One Bites The Dust" . Someone had to pipe that in because I know Queen wasn't in attendance. What ever makes you feel good about yourself. Just say anything. Quote
NDNation Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 No ones picking on it. I'm down with Metallica. The 'who let the dogs out" wasn't a jab, I know I've heard it there before. We do Cherokee, you do your thing. nothing wrong with that. Quote

We do Cherokee, you do your thing. nothing wrong with that. Thanks. I don't think either of our songs help the players on the field. It is simply a show of spirit and we both have it. I never cared much for "Who Let The Dogs Out" but the artists made a gazillion dollars off of it. Try Metallica's version of Bob Seger's "Turn The Page". Quote
NDNation Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 I also like that the Ned Announcer isn't a cheerleader for the team. I hate games like that. Just announce the game. Quote
dawgnut Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Baddog, Harry does a pretty good version of who let the dogs out. Quote
baddog Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Baddog, Harry does a pretty good version of who let the dogs out. Yes, I know. Just didn't care for the song. Harry has my approval. Lol. Quote
dawgnut Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Someone told me he knew all the words to Cherokee the version that PNG doesn't want anyone knowing about. I only remember the first few lines. Quote
godawggo Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 We do have a good announcer!! Now if you want to talk about announcers, how about Tip Durham, he was the best! NDN06, olddadt49, pngfan97 and 1 other 4 Quote
Gusher Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 Does anyone know how the yell practice went last night? Quote
Michele Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 Heard PNG kids showed up trying to spoil the yell practice last night at the school and the police had to get involved. Anybody know if that happened? Quote

olddadt49 Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 I believe they were caught climbing over the fence on the baseball field and ran down the private drive back there back to Spurlock. I think they were met there. No harm done as far as I know. Just kids having a little fun. What really burned me up was that there were purple and white feathers in the street beside my house this morning. On second thought maybe a bulldog tore up a sneaky Indian last night. That would be a good thing. Quote
