Chester86 Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Who ya got? You really have to hand it to the Giants, 3rd trip in 5 years, against the Royals who haven't been there since 85. I don't think the Royals can run the table, but i'm taking them in 6. JWB 1 Quote
BlackShirts5 Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 I'm pulling for the Royals, Josh Gordon from my Huskers if playing well. Quote
htownfan Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 I hope for a 7 game series but I will take the Royals in 6... They just seem like a team of destiny Quote
JWB Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 I'll be pulling for the Royals...they're fun to watch Quote
bullets13 Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 I like the royals, don't like the giants, so it's a no-brainer who I'm rooting for. but realistically, I don't care much about this series. it would be nice to see a low-budget, small-market team win one though. Quote

Ditto on all of that. Plus, barring any personal interest (one of my teams or a local kid playing), I generally root for the underdog. I enjoyed watching Brandon Belt in his time in Austin but I will be rooting for him to bat 1.000 and lose the series. Quote
Chester86 Posted October 21, 2014 Author Report Posted October 21, 2014 It's that time. Really looking forward to that first pitch, and a great series. Favorite sporting events of the year: 1) CWS, 2) MLB WS, 3) NCAA bowl games, and 4) Super Bowl. JWB 1 Quote
PhatMack19 Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 The playoffs have been very good so far. I didn't like having to search for a different channel every night to find the games though. The MLB has TV issues and its showing by their loss of numbers. Hopefully this series is as good as the other games have been so far. My college roomate was from KC and has always been a big Royals and Chiefs fan even when they have sucked for almost his whole life. I'm rooting for my buddy and the Royals to pull this series out in 7. Quote

I still enjoy watching it but I couldn't get my kid to watch a game unless I paid him. Quote
Chester86 Posted October 22, 2014 Author Report Posted October 22, 2014 MadBum pitching a dandy, and the ex-ASTRO provided the first inning lead. Not looking good for the Royals in this first game. Quote
htownfan Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Shields seemed to never find a rythym and MadBum continued to be dominant. I'm looking forward to game 2. I've always enjoyed watching Peavy pitch. Quote
JWB Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Looking forward to seeing how the Royals respond to lastnights loss. Quote
Chester86 Posted October 23, 2014 Author Report Posted October 23, 2014 Man, wHat a game. Glad to see the Royals rebounding. JWB 1 Quote

bullets13 Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 Bumgardner is a beast! Hopefully the royals can find a way to win the last two games. The last thing I want is to see the giants win another one. Quote
Chester86 Posted October 29, 2014 Author Report Posted October 29, 2014 How 'but them Royals. Bonus baseball is what it's looking like - Game 7, winner take all. You know the Giants are gonna bring MadBum back on short rest. Who goes for the Royals? I will be at work, but down in the office watching it. Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 KC is gonna be rocking, hope its a great game7. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted October 30, 2014 Report Posted October 30, 2014 Nothing better than a Game 7. This has been intense so far Quote
