jake94 Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 With two huge emotional wins over the past two weeks, Big Ned has a short turnaround for a Thursday road game at Stallworth and are in an obvious "letdown" spot. I hope we come out with intensity and put this game away early. What's your prediction on this game? I will go with the Dogs 38-14 and hopefully some playing time in the 4th quarter for guys we don't see much. whatnamecanipick 1 Quote
NDNation Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Baytown will not put 14 on Neds Defense and you will have 38 by halftime. Good game to rest the starters early and recover from any injuries. James Mosley and whatnamecanipick 2 Quote

BigNedNOLA Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Big Ned should win this one going away, but like jake gotta be careful not to have a let down this week.....Think they can crack 50 again...56-7 Dogs! JPD1966 1 Quote
Michele Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 I agree ... stay focused on the game at hand. DOGS win. Quote
_chorizo11 Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 I doubt nuemann will put 50 on anyone if he can help it...especially when it won't take much to win... andrew24b 1 Quote
baddog Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 I know nothing about Lee except that they are at the bottom of our district. Need to start #12 @ QB and give Sage a rest. He could still play defense. Or this could be the game you practice those unusual plays to see how well we execute them. Need to stay sharp though, so maybe Sage should play QB. Quote
Razor Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 The main thing the Dogs need to do is stay sharp and focus on their game...3 games left to keep the DC streak intact and more importantly, get playoff ready Quote
baddog Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Is the back up a senior? Yes, and he can throw it on a rope. He came into the MCM game for a couple plays when Sage needed to walk off a (cramp?). Quote
KABrother Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Sorry to get off the original topic but was that summer rumor of a QB transfer from the Houston (?) area true?...if so what class is he? Quote
jake94 Posted October 21, 2014 Author Report Posted October 21, 2014 Sorry to get off the original topic but was that summer rumor of a QB transfer from the Houston (?) area true?...if so what class is he? Mitchell LeBaron. He is the kid that threw the pass on the flea flicker against Central. Quote
NDOMAKONG Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Lebaron will get his shot, but if we are able to get a lead and let Sage sit, Smith is the guy. He actually needs to play a few series when the game is still undecided to get his rhythm, Neumann typically doesn't throw the balk when bes up big. Smith has earned it and we may need him down the road. jake94 1 Quote
Proud Dawg Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 I think we work. The coaches will probably work on some of the things we have had trouble with. Got some nagging injuries so they will probably get some rest. We just need to focus on problems from the past and continue to get better Quote
FutureDog Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 You "play to win the game" first... Don't take any opponent for granted! Quote
biaplayer Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 NED won't have any trouble with Lee they aren't very good at all. Cant see them scoring a single point. Ned should score on s punt return lees coverage is just straight down field inside hashmarks leaving thr corners wide open Quote
BMTSoulja1 Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Y'all will rip them apart...no surprise here. Quote

Not saying he should play over Smith in mop up duty...just wasn't sure if that actually went through and if the kid was playing Varsity or getting reps on JV...I wouldn't be upset to let Smith throw the ball around some even if Ned is up comfortably (even though I know Neumann won't do that) just so the receivers get a few more reps catching a pass with left-handed spin. andrew24b Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Nederland 41 ---- Baytown Lee 0 ---- The Bulldogs defense is too much for the Ganders offense to handle. Quote
Northern Lights Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Nederland 49 Lee 6 And I can tell you it could be more but Neumann is classy and won't run up the score on people. lapoint 1 Quote

You are correct in that...I remember a game against Lumberton 2 years ago where he pulled the starters for the entire 2nd half and never attempted one pass in the second half...hopefully, this game gives Nederland a chance to go at it hard for a half and then play everyone in the 2nd half and rest some lingering injuries...not saying that is what will happen, just that it would be nice...too much at stake to take anyone for granted Northern Lights 1 Quote
