texas13 Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 When they had the draft pick for the kid in the NFL draft was pretty incredible. We tend to focus more on negatives in the nfl, and others, but in all honesty most of these professionals go out of there for kids and the community and alot of is overlooked Quote

RaiderRed30 Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 The 2013 Gustine Tigers. Played all season with just six players and were mercy ruled at half in 9 out of their 10 games, but they played so that the community could still have a place to be on Friday nights. Quote

CraigS Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 I agree the professional teams do have a lot of good about them, whereas the negative usually makes for better stories and overides the good. HJ2012 Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 I remember pretty recently, an NBA team signed a kid to a contract and let him play in an inner-squad scrimmage. I thought that was pretty cool! Quote
HurricaneCal Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 The NBA drafted Austin from Baylor. Quote

stangx2 Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 I don't have a photo or clip, but I will say that being at the game where Reggie Garrett unfortunately passed away, I thought all the local fans, schools, etc. really showed the class that comes with being from SETX. Team Game 1 Quote
