Are you serious? Alabama charges a crapload of money. I know Ole Miss does, too.

For private reserved spots or Rv parking yes you pay. Most schools have open fields that are open to tailgate at a certain time for free. You just cany set up anything until that time.

Most of the tailgates are in paid parking spots in which you have to pay the Longhorn Foundation to have a spot. This includes all parking on university property on game day. There are no open fields on the 40 acres to park on game day anyway. Much ado about nothing.
