smitty
Come on Libs, what say you?? http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/news/article/Hefty-fines-coming-for-the-uninsured-5842409.php
bullets13
I'd disagree about them being "hefty fines", but I do agree that they shouldn't be able to enforce them. I also feel like those who CHOOSE not to get health insurance but can't afford their treatments should not be treated at hospitals. dying of a simple medical problem because you're too cheap to get insurance? now THAT'S a hefty fine. consequently, healthcare prices would go down, insurance prices would go down, and many people would benefit if hospitals didn't have to perform so many free procedures. stevenash
I believe I have a better idea. Get the government out of the healthcare business. They suck at virtually every business they get involved in and I believe a lot more people have been harmed than helped by this entire fiasco, a word that does not adequately describe. The alleged $2500 premium reduction per family was/is a complete joke and has become, in reality, about a $3000-$4000 increase for the average family. That is the very same family that the President has continually said he is "fighting for". All that has happened with the VA is a classic example of the governments medical/business expertise. Additionally these problems are not unique to either party. In the great majority of cases, the government(regardless of who is in office) is inefficient, incompetent, and accountable to nobody and is therefore almost guaranteed to be a failure when attempting to manage a business. mat
Big girl
My cousin has insurance through the ACA; as well as, my aunt and they love it. My cousin was able to get a much needed surgery. She had a mass in her abdomen the size of a basketball. She looked pregnant.

tvc184
Easy to love something when someone else is paying the bill. I wonder if I can get a new car to replace my 9 year old Hyundai and have some else pay for it.........

Big girl
Did any of those people you mention have insurance before Obamacare was put into effect? no, they couldn't afford it. Do you know that "obamacare" is not a single payor system? Only private insurance companies are on the exchange. Obamacare is not an insurance plan I am going to scream if I hear someone say that again.
