MAYFIELD Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 Not bragging or anything, but I have to give props to these "SUPER SOPHMORES", at Nederland. These young guys played big roles, and still got work to do. #2 JALIN JOHNSON #6 CONNOR PERKINS #7 TAVIAN MAYFIELD #14 DEMARCUS ELAM #21 CHASE KEMP #79 CORBIN SMITH dme1111 and godawggo 2 Quote
NDOMAKONG Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 That's BIG Corbin done right. This kid will be getting recruited early, 6-5ish and well over 300 lbs as a sophomore and has good feet, he will be in the radar soon. Got a solid group of sophs to build around right there. But the future has been now for those kids, major contributions in holding down the streak. Quote

It was a growing process and they grew fast. Quote
baddog Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 I love a talent laden sophomore team. Congrats and keep it up! Quote
dawgnut Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 Better put your fork up because I don't think these dogs are done yet. If you are waiting for next year you should look at what is coming. Quote
NDOMAKONG Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 Key is that Sage, Barton, L Mayfield welcomed these guys in and trusted these guys would play for/with them and not get caught up in thinking, heck we're just sophs, we got 2/more years, that just doesbt happen in this program right now. Its fun to see Quote
texas13 Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 What position does chase Kemp play Quote

MAYFIELD Posted October 27, 2014 Author Report Posted October 27, 2014 I hope I didn't leave anyone out Quote
olddadt49 Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 There are some younger ones behind these too. The freshman A has some pretty good players and the B team has not lost a game yet. Now before you laugh at that, remember that the team that went to the semifinals had seven starters that were on the freshman B team. We just don't know who will develop later down the line. It will be fun to watch who does develop and who has already peaked. Quote

bulldawg64 Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 I like how coach neuman brought some up to varsity they r our fiuture let them soak up some friday nights up Quote
MAYFIELD Posted October 30, 2014 Author Report Posted October 30, 2014 they will be a lil more comfortable playing these last 2 games, leading themselves into next year games, Quote
dawgnut Posted October 30, 2014 Report Posted October 30, 2014 If they get any more comfortable somebody is goimg to pay big time. When they got their time on the field, they gave nothing. The offense was only slowed by the coaches desire not to score more points and the defense gave up nothing. Quote

dawgnut Posted October 30, 2014 Report Posted October 30, 2014 Yep and we have some freshman that will seriously put a load on any bench they set on. Quote
NDOMAKONG Posted October 30, 2014 Report Posted October 30, 2014 All depends on who has the toughness and or interest to make it through the program Quote
lapoint Posted October 30, 2014 Report Posted October 30, 2014 Neumann makes the difference in whatever class he has NOW.....no waiting involved on whoever is there or not. Quote
Chester86 Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 Didn't see Caine Williams name on that list. Is he still playing football, or switch to just baseball? I know he is a great athlete. Quote
