skipper Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 i know it not over yet but i feel sure you know who is the best to this point Quote
BIG SHOW Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 I think hands down... Sage Seay. A Nederland football team without Sage would of been very lucky to finish in 4th for the last playoff spot. Quote
Proud Dawg Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 I think that a kid from Crosby should be mvp in all the neighboring districts. Quote
bulldawg64 Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Sage seay he can play on both sides of the ball and is good at doing it Quote
HurricaneCal Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 21-5 A running back from C E King, Williams, no brainer in 22-5A, Seay. Quote
badndn Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 22-5A Sage Seay Local 4A DII Deonte Thompson. 4A DI Spikes from Jasper. 6A QB from CViev. I dont think its that difficult to pick this year. Quote
drewlsu Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 9-4A DII MVP should be HF QB King. Without him, they don't win nearly as many games, if any... Quote
td Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 I'm not arguing just a serious question, if HF loses Friday do you still vote him MVP? They will have only won only 1 district game. The stats are for district games only aren't they? Quote

skipper Posted November 6, 2014 Author Report Posted November 6, 2014 about thompson he can do it allsoph j.dallas this young kid was put on the fire after the mustangs lost both qbs and he has proven himself as a team leader and a winner Quote
td Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 How is HF in the playoffs having possibly only won a single district game, this is beyond stupid 5 team district that takes 4 teams. HF or OF will get in with 1 district win unless I'm mistaken. Quote
12gage Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 You mean like png who has not beaten a team in district with a wining record Quote

The stats are for district games only aren't they? King has 32 total tds in 9 games they have 1 game left . King has rushed for 1530 in 9 games with 1 game left . So to imply that he hasnt done anything in district play is ridiculous just check the numbers . When his number is called he has performed just as good as anyone in setx . Quote

I have no idea what his numbers are. I do know that he is fun to watch. I was asking a serious question. Quote

Offensive MVP, I totally agree. But MVP, IMO, has more to do with the player who has contributed more to his team's success. Quote
#62jjohnson Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Obviously district play is important but lets not act like when it comes to stats we dont count non district games ,because when we do . You count non district games when its your seasons record , so lets not be ticky tacky . In that case play no non district games , just play district games be it four or seven whoever wins the most goes to the playoffs .it is not the players fault they play more non district games then district games . I don't think anyone is being "ticky tacky". It is what it is. So you're saying you wouldn't vote for a kid whose contributed more to his team's success on both sides of the ball just because he didn't score all of the touchdowns? Quote

Everybody in the district knows king is getting the ball and look what he has done in district play when his number has been called .its not his fault he is not utilized on defense more thats a coaches call . By the way he was named defensive newcomer of the year as a freshman back in 2012 . Lets not kid ourselves its been district mvps teams that didnt make playoffs or had the best team that have won that award . Quote
