dayton Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Hope that weather holds and the game moves slowly. I'll catch the 2nd half if I'm lucky. NDNation 1 Quote
NDNation Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 I hope we get a good set of refs and its just 2 teams playing football....and the weather holds out and it lasts forever. Quote
75ndndb Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Just as a point of reference, PNG hasn't beaten Dayton in 68 years. Some of these kids' granparents weren't even born then. :D Yeah you right!!! But our grandpappy's used to ride the hair off them broncs!!! Lol liltex and dayton 2 Quote

NDNation Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 I hope it holds. I can take the cold but not rain and cold. + I want the full band experience. Last rainy game, only brass played. Octfeb 1 Quote
akifan94 Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Just stating facts pal, don't let it ruffle the feathers in your head gear or whatever y'all wear. No your not. Quote
NDOMAKONG Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Morse's game is not running though, he's much more of a pocket passer. Quote

akifan94 Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Gonna be a good game but the BRONCOS will come out on top, by 14+, Morse hasn't tried passing against Dayton, who will have at least 2 interceptions in this game. # 25 loves to pick off QB's, so I see him getting one of those and #20 getting the other. And yeah, Sparks will have to outrun a DB #15 who runs a 4.38 , which ain't happening, and a host of other Broncos that aren't far behind, so PNG, you'll need a backup plan. GO BRONCOS!!!!! all that speed and bad A defense and yet Dayton gave up 69, 62, and 41 points this year. Oh and Channelview beat Dayton 69-35, Channelview beat Vidor 44-41, and PN-G beat Vidor 44-22. so that means PN-G WINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We score at least 69 points baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well maybe only 62 with 4.38 speed and a whole host of kids running 4.4's. Quote
bronco pride Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Not that history means anything in this game I do see a trend. Since 06 dayton is 18-2 versus golden triangle teams and has been past the first round every year since 06 with the exception of 2012. The fact is Dayton has dominated that area for a while now and this years team has the talent to continue the trend. PNG does have one thing going for them though. They are purple and white. PNG gave up 35 to Nederland, Dayton gave up 22 to that same team and beat them like a bass drum!!! I watched that PNG/Central game PNG QB only looks for one receiver and if he not open he tries to scramble. If Central ran routes instead of going deep every pass play they would've murdered PNG. The middle is wide open and Dayton is just that team to expose it!! Good luck to both teams!!! Broncos by 2 TDs!!! Quote
HurricaneCal Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 There's track speed and football speed. Give me that football savy guy over just a flat out speedster any day. Dayton is scrappy, going to be interesting to watch that O line since they are all healthy now. Quote
NDNation Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 We're the #1 offense in 22 5A. That one receiver...lol Quote
HurricaneCal Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 The problem with having the #1 offense is you have to eventually stop somebody and be mistake free. When the D isn't good, you go home. Perfect example was Crosby last year. Quote
NDNation Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 We're not to shabby on D either. Quote

Ignore the Channelview/Dayton/Vidor/PN-G connection and focus on the Nederland game. The PN-G - Central game meant nothing as for the playoffs and you watched PN-G run some base plays on offense and defense. But let's ignore logic. Dayton has 4.3 / 4.4 / 4.5 speed everywhere, even in the band and drill team. They beat Nederland like a bongo drum. Dayton wins this game before it even starts. Good thing Vidor didn't make the playoffs or their close game with Channelview would have spelled the end of the line for Dayton. PNG Proud 1 Quote
HurricaneCal Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Okay did I say mistake free only, I should've used the term balanced as well. PNG did move some kids to that side of the ball that has helped, but didn't you lose a solid LB? Quote
NDNation Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Huge loss, that one. They've faired better than I expected though. Huge loss at WR also. Quote
akifan94 Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Here is some more for you. PN-G has 3 WR's with over 25 catches and two with more than your best WR. so go ahead and pin your hopes on the only looks for one WR theory. A 4th WR had 16 catches 2 games into the season before being lost for the year. Quote

Footballer06 Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Yeah but which school has a better band and drill team?? Quote
