Carthage went 5-5 this year. 

 

Losses were to Hallsville, Nacogdoches, Gladewater, Gilmer and Henderson.

LCM ain't a bad club though. Seen them vs Vidor this year

Wouldn't it be nice if LCM would go into this game with the mind set that they had when they went against teams of the last years?

IMO, Carthage is about 50% of what they were in years past. With that said, those losses they have this year might be deceiving. Either way, LCM has a better chance of winning this game than Carthage last year or the 4 before that.

I saw earlier in the thread that someone had Jasper coming out of Region 3. To me, Jasper's playing better right now than they have in years and could very well go deep into the playoffs, but Navasota might be better than they were two years ago when nobody could touch them. That is scary.

Carthage returned 1 starter, ONE, from last year's state championship team.

 

Pretty impressed they finished tied for 1st in that district.

Better bring the long handles and heavy coats for this game!  With a night game in Lufkin and that cold front coming in, a good possibility temps could be in the 30's by the 4th qtr!

Follow the state championship rings up 69/96 thru Center about 30 miles and look for the lights and the SEC indoor facility. You cant miss it

You know it's the truth Skip.
Even turned the ball over right before half or it would have been worse than a 14 pt Dawg victory. I think Stark was the 2nd best team in the state that year though.
