Baylor and TCU in the playoffs over 2 SEC teams?

Who would you rather see two 1 loss SEC teams or a 1 loss Baylor and TCU teams in the playoffs

Auburn barely beat Kansas State. Really should've loss that game. TCU curved stomped Kansas State.

If I were picking, there'd be two Big 12 teams and two SEC West teams. I will admit my bias, but I can't get excited about ACC, PAC 12 or especially Big 10 teams.

What I am thinking too. Ohio state waiting to get in when teams get that second loss. If Arizona state wins out (which would mean a win over Oregon), they would get in I would think.

Maybe this is why the Committe doesn't respect Baylor

and probably another win against Tech (3-6). And the horns could finish with a losing record too.

It is too bad there are only 4 playoff spots. There is no one team far better than any other. IMO the number 1 seed would not be a clear favorite over the number 8 seed. Other years perhaps but not this year.

At some point, Baylor needs to stop being Baylor. If they win out, they will likely get in IMO.

Look at the stats. Baylor's defense is better than TCU's defense in almost every major category across the board.

Baylor's Schedule - Big 12 + SMU, FCS Team, @Buffalo

TCU's Schedule - Big 12 + SMU, FCS Team, Minnesota

 

Obviously, Minnesota is better than Buffalo, other than that the schedules aren't any different. Unless you want to argue the fact that Baylor gets the luxury of not facing its own offense that rolled up 800 yards on that vaunted TCU defense. I will give you that.

 

At the end of the year will be a true comparison, but as of now Baylor is statistically head and shoulders the better defense this year. And just for a comparison nationwide, right now Baylor's defense in yards per game is 14th in the NCAA at 322.2 ypg. TCU is 47 at 378.8 ypg.

Look at Baylor's non-conference schedule.  I would hope they had good defensive numbers.

Nope. I'm surprised Ohio state is too though. Something tells me they get in somehow if they win out though.
