Guest ECBucFan Posted January 26, 2007 Report Posted January 26, 2007 My 10 year old daughter is an avid soccer player, playing goalie for the past 3 years. I would like to enhance her development as a goalie any way I can. She is now to the point where we need help with advanced instruction. Does anyone know of a goalie camp? Does anyone know of a personal goalie coach? Thanks to all!
Jsmity Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Star Keeper Academy is the best techniqal keeper camp in the nation.... and SMU is pretty good as well... but STAR is the best.... I have attended both and now play NCAA D-II for a school in South Carolina..... those get my vote!!!!!
sharkfutbol Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 Bit of advice. Your daughter is that young then do not worry much more than sending her to a local camp in houston or just a regular soccer camp. She needs to have skills to handle the ball as well as stopping shots and such. It all works good for your daughter. If you think she is really wanting to become a goalkeeper. Look at camps in houston area or get yourself a book on it and come up with footwork for her. Footwork is the most important thing you can show your daughter..... gluck
