Rattler93 Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 I believe this is going to be one of the most talked about 4a playoff games next week cause of the playoff history between these 2 teams. JMO Any thoughts or predictions?? Quote
Eazy Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 Why? #1 Team vs 5-5 Team. Is there a concern? Quote
Rattler93 Posted November 16, 2014 Author Report Posted November 16, 2014 Why? #1 Team vs 5-5 Team. Is there a concern? No concern. But the playoff history between these 2 make it interesting. Last few times we've played CH, we've gotten close but came up short. But I believe Navasota will get payback. Chapel Hill isn't a bad team at all, and Navasota doesn't take them lightly. Quote
Bulldog92 Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 Chapel Hill is probably the best team the Rattlers have seen since Coldspring early in the season and no one has really tested them. Having said that, I think Navasota rolls 34-7. I'd love to see them get knocked out before the regional final when Jasper could see them, but I think both the Rattlers and Bulldogs might be on a collision course. Quote
RattlerBlue Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 Navasota gets the fortune of playing 35 minutes from home again this week. Navasota vs Tyler Chapel Hill Friday, 7pm Buddy Moorhead Stadium Quote
RattlerBlue Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 As far as history between the two schools, we are 1-2 vs the Bulldogs. We beat them in the Class 4A bidistrict round in 96. A game that was played at Buddy Moorhead Stadium as well. Our two losses came in 2010 and 2011 at Waco ISD and Baylor. Quote
RattlerBlue Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 I'm looking forward to this matchup. On that East Texas sites, the topic is our cupcake schedule. Which is the talk each time we play a team from East Texas and rightfully so. It appears that the Bulldogs struggle defending the pass. And, Navasota is one of the best passing teams that I've seen all year. And, our run game is as equally good especially when Randle is in the lineup. Our defense has been stingy all year. Needville had some success in their passing game as they caught our D sleeping on a few screen plays. Overall, I don't think that CHILL has the defense to slow down our offense and our defense will probably be one of the best that they have seen all year. Rattler93 1 Quote
TROJANSWIN Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 Navasota's schedule is pretty weak, but only because of the district they are in and the fact that everyone is scared to play them in predistrict. Nobody likes to get donkey stomped. The strength of Navasota's schedule means nothing. They will find out soon enough! Rattler93 1 Quote
RattlerBlue Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 FYI, Chapel Hill's opponents record is 49-57. Navasota's is 45-59. Quote

It's amazing how we always think the other team is weak because of the people they have played, but always think our team has only beat 8 or 10 state champions. Quote
badndn Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 PNG beat the crap outta CHill week 4, and we lost our big WR Giblin in first Q for the year. It was 40-6 at halftime. We rolled up almost 600 yards on them. I can't see Navasota losing this one. Quote

I agree. The only reason that I posted our records was in response to the other site that posted our opponents record. They didn't post Chapel Hill's opponents record. I don't think that who we played has anything to do with the type of good players that we put on the field. We have had our run in from teams from East Texas with two consecutive losses to Chapel Hill, a loss to Carthage last year, and a loss to Gilmer. Well, we did beat Gilmer when it mattered most. :D Rattler93 1 Quote

j_dog Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 Navasota rolls. Go Rattlers! I will be surprised if it is even close. Rattler93 1 Quote
Rattler93 Posted November 16, 2014 Author Report Posted November 16, 2014 Some of these Chapel Hill fans on the East Texas site are extremely delusional. Quote
itsallabouttheH Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 I have seen them both, UP CLOSE, it will not be close. Rattlers roll, and have it put away by the 3rd quarter. Rattler93 1 Quote

CJ04 Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 Easy win for Navasota! Rattler93 1 Quote
