We have endured the jeers and dismissals for so long we have become numb to it. To say this win is huge is just too cliché. All the coaches through the years have worked just as hard as the next towns; all the players through the years have practiced just as hard and wanted it just as bad as those having success. We have had several years of coulda, shoulda, woulda and only ifs.... This year by most peoples' estimation we snuck into the playoffs. Our coaches and kids took it in stride, came out tonight with great school pride, and took care of business. Not only did the Horns play like they belonged here, they proved it!

To the players and coaches, you have made the Prairie very proud. Looking forward to next week. Prepare like the bi-district champoins that you are!

Hupernikomen, you expressed my sentiments.  I'll just add...these kids have found that "will to win" that has eluded Longhorn teams for too long.  It is so much fun to see the whole community come out to support the team.  Thank you Longhorn players and coaches for electrifying Tarkington Prairie.
