Angleton vs. Dayton

Teams with a legitimate passing game give lots of teams trouble. That's a common theme with teams that put up big points on us. We had a string of 3 and outs that allowed png to get going with our defense getting winded. Those 3 and outs were a result of us not having our typical passing game. In the playoffs, youve gotta be able to throw the ball well.

And don't tell me I don't know football. I once scored 4 touchdowns in one game, playing for the Polk High Panthers.

Yes FW did beat GW but Friendswood is a very disciplined team on both sides of the football.  Dayton is very one sided and has the ability to give up a lot of points to teams with speed.  Kinda like an old Texas Tech team.

We scrimmaged FW this year and held our own pretty good they had no answer for McBride when he played WR! FW running back was a beast !

Wow our offense is comical. Just scored 56 pts and had right at 300 yds rushing. Would have had much more than that but Styner and Moore didn't have a carry the first half I believe. Talk about people that don't know football. Heck I'm going to look it up but I wouldn't be suprised if Mcbride didn't have more offense by himself last year against Brenhan than GR had as a team.

Like I said McBride is a special athlete, but watching Dayton this whole year there isn't a whole lot of talent around him.  Dayton has a lot of decent athletes but I just don't see them going much further than one round especially if they played like they did against PNG, who is also very mediocre.

Yea how many of those rushing yards was McBride flushed out of the pocket and scrambled, that's not an offense, that is one athlete going against a whole bunch of non athletes, what did he do against CE King or Channelview.  Not taking anything away from him but if a team like GR or anyone else who has "athletes" on defense will shut him down and then there goes Dayton's offense. Period

That's the thing... He's NOT our QB!! He's a slot receiver/wildcat guy. Come on man!

Our qb was nicked up for the game vs png

Really? I guess by you saying that, makes it ok to take everything away from him... Every single post from you, dogs Mcbride. Then you say "not taking anything away from him"  Considering McBride had to step up for our starting QB. And Dayton still managed to put 56 on PNG. Not sure how you can dog him in any shape or form. Typical hater is all I can gather from your post.

I know what he is and why he was playing QB, all I am saying is the majority of your yards come from him, and he plays quite a bit of QB even when Walter is healthy.  And if he is a slot then why does he only have 369 yds receiving and 923 rushing.  Sounds like a running QB to me.

actually most of his runs were designed not many yards on broken pass plays. But even at that he had 129 yds passing and no ints. Also had 2 other kids that had close to 90 yds rushing in one half. This is basically the same team dayton had last year. Only lost 4 starters and didn't lose any skills position players. Last year Dayton took Brenham to the wire and GR got beat down.

I'm not as familiar with Dayton, but who is Walter? I thought #7 was their QB?

look up Baughmans numbers he is our qb. He has around 2000 yds passing. Mcbride is just used a bunch of different ways.

I meant #7, and again my responses came to merely shed some light on one guys post about George Ranch, they have been ranked in the top 5 in the state all year and then you have some slap come on here and say all they do is "run around".  Yes Dayton you have a good offense with one great player and a few decent ones surrounding him but out of the good teams you have played this year who have yall beat.  Your defense is soft and you give up a ton of points to good teams and those same teams who have more than one good athlete on defense shut you down

so ned and png are not good teams and/or have 1 or less good athletes on defense?

They are decent teams but wouldn't be able to handle teams with speed, they are both great programs year in and out but they always have trouble with teams that have speed. Yall beat the teams that you should have beat, but the really good teams smoked you.

Crosby didn't. ... no biggie though.

i think Dayton had around 500 yds offense against a very stout Crosby defense. I promise Crosbys defense has more than 1 good athlete.
