Buna brings an element of physicality to opponents who do not see that style of play very often. That alone portends well for Buna, especially against a new opponent.

Buna will not have their good luck charm there this week but I still think they pull it out.

Rockdale runs the spread. They can not stop the run but they are very good airing it out. It's going to come down to how well Bunas secondary plays. The run and physicality of Buna will take its toll on Rockdale late.

Buna struggles against the pass.. As shown vs Kountze this year but Kountze couldn't play defense. I bet rockdale has a better defense and if that's the case Buna might be in trouble but I hope Buna wins!

The pass defense is definitely going to have to step up. The main thing is the physical run game and time consuming drives. Limit Rockdale's possession's, get a few stops on defense and Buna takes this one. The recipe for beating the spred was proven in the Malakoff game. Buna's opening drive consumed almost 8 min. of the 1st qtr. and resulted in a TD. Mix in enough passes to keep the defense honest and Buna gets it done

Anybody listen to this weeks sideline to sideline? I was a little ticked that they pretty much credited Buna's win last week to Malakoff just being weaker than they expect. No recognition for the cougars...

Malakoff was a very good spread team with a beast in the backfield #8 Dowell, definately the most impressive RB we have seen this year. Buna's playing very good confident football right know, getting better each week. I'm sure they'll come up with an excuse for Rockdale after Friday night :)

Thats what I'm thinking. Malakoff was a good football team. Buna is just better

Those guys have a handful of teams they follow in the state and bs their way through everything else. They look at box scores and try to sound educated on the other games but no clue in my opinion. I think The weekly Setx show could do the same thing these guys are doing honestly but then I think our show would lose some integrity honestly.
