AggiesAreWe Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Reports are circulating stating that head football coach Chris Stump is out at Bridge City. Cannot say I am surprised. td 1 Quote
td Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Not surprised if it's true but sounds like a rumor at this point!! Quote
mytwocents-28 Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Saw this coming since he lost the ad position.... td 1 Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Think we all expected this during the summer. Quote
skipmeister Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 I knew the administration is trying to run Stump out. I bet he will be picked up by his brother at Atastacocita. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
chukslegacy Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Look at their program! Im not a bit surprised! Quote
jwbassman Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Sometimes you've got to make a move to breathe some life and new energy into a program. BC has to many athletes to be that bad. chukslegacy 1 Quote

Rake1 Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Look at their program! Im not a bit surprised! You may want to be a little more specific and say "football program" rather than paint the entire athletic program with one broad stroke. That's not entirely fair to the other sports. BC boys and girls compete and do well in other sports. Baseball, track, cross country, golf, powerlifting etc. For whatever reason football has definitely seen more prosperous times. AggiesAreWe Posted November 18, 2014 Author Report Posted November 18, 2014 Orange Leader â€@Orangeleader13 31m31 minutes ago This just in.... Bridge City ISD is officially searching for a new head football coach at BCHS. Quote
Gabe Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 If I'm not mistaken Stump was first coach to lead BC to playoffs for four straight years. This year over summer the starting qb announced he'd not play and during season the next starting qb went down. Year before that the qb played with a banged up shoulder. Quote
Cat22 Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 HJ folks might be a little concerned by this! Quote
One4All Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 I believe I know who is the Front runner for this Job Quote
Gabe Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 And I hate saying this but its fact its not as if BC has ever been a football juggernaut folks. Its my hometown so I'm not just talking crap here. Stump didn't drive some powerhouse program into the ground. Its far from reason he was let go Mr. Buddy Garrity and bcred 2 Quote
Gabe Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 I'd be concerned Cat22 if I was another 4A team Quote

Tiger33 Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Dubois??? No way...... is Dubois from Bc? Quote
Cat22 Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Dubois is a BC Grad. I've heard before he's wanted to coach at BC, this coming from someone who coached with him at Vidor. Would not surprise me. Quote
FarmersFight Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 For the kids, the BC athletic programs and the community lets hope they find the right person to take this position and move forward. Quote
outanup Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 So this is confirmed? Link didn't work for me? Quote

I figured everyone knew that I was talking about their "football program". After all this is a "football forum", but I sure don't want to be unfair about my remarks, so let me clarify my statement to those who read more into it than there is!. BC football program is less than average, considering the talent that comes out of that town. So maybe a new face with new ideas is what BC needs to get back on track!Rake1 Quote

HouseOfCards Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 They need a coach who is not biased to certain sports. I played football and soccer there and I know first hand he didn't give rats you know what about the soccer program. Compared the guys who played soccer to the choir and band. Pretty much stating that they had no importance to him in sports at the school. Quote
