Goodness, gracious. Brian Kelly will not stay at ND very long with that chump change salary.

Truthfully I think that most of these are seriously overpaid - mainly due to the reason that I have a hard time understanding why anyone (and I mean anyone is worth 3 - 5 million a year to coach a sport.  But this is Big Time football which is now a business and not a sport.

 

But lets talk local coaches - I do not think that Sumlin of Texas A&M or Strong of Texas either have earned the amount that they are being paid - both are still work in progress.

ND is private so they don't have to report salaries. I could almost guarantee Kelly gets paid more than that.

ND has notoriously and historically paid much less than the big schools. That, along with academic requirements, make a lot of coaches uninterested in the job.
