Peppermint Patty Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 Yea but he better not end up in Lincoln. A lot of Husker peeps think it's Tressel. Idk. We shall see. Doesn't Tressel have some penalties attached to his hiring as a coach? Quote
PhatMack19 Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 Doesn't Tressel have some penalties attached to his hiring as a coach? It won't be Tressel Jim Tressel – The former head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Tressel was forced to resign three months before the start of the 2011 season for lying to the NCAA about student athletes receiving tattoos and cash for signed memorabilia. According to the NCAA, he had four chances to tell the truth and failed to do so. For this, he was given a five-year show-cause penalty (until December 19, 2016). If he gets another head coaching job before then, he will have to sit out the first five games of the first regular season of his return, as well as any postseason games (including conference championship games and bowl games).[2] Tressel was named the new president of Youngstown State University in May 2014, and has publicly announced that he is retired from coaching.[14]http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Show-cause_penalty Quote
RaiderRed30 Posted December 1, 2014 Report Posted December 1, 2014 While Bo shouldn't have been fired (my grandmas turning over in her grave right now) any coach Nebraska hires needs to have a link to Texas. Texas is the golden pipeline and since leaving the Big 12 they don't have that link to get the players to go to Lincoln. Quote
skipmeister Posted December 2, 2014 Report Posted December 2, 2014 They wanted a coach that could get the program back to competeting for the National Championship every year and I mean back to National prominence! Quote

king Posted December 18, 2014 Author Report Posted December 18, 2014 He did Have and make some very valid points. I'm telling you, Eichorst is a bad AD. Yull see Quote
BlackShirts5 Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 Now listen to Pelini say it. The other link is a little off on the way Pelini was portrayed. http://www.omaha.com/huskers/explicit-audio-listen-to-bo-pelini-s-speech-in-final/article_13091c0e-8666-11e4-9030-974935d9593f.html Quote
Bulldog92 Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 I think Pelini's probably right about Eichorst, but that's never a conversation that you have with impressionable young adults. The only person that should have heard those comments was Eichorst himself. Riley is the right guy to lead the healing process and he's done a good job keeping the recruiting class together, but I'm a little uneasy about what will happen on the field until I see the coaching and results for myself. BlackShirts5 Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 How do you have a A.D. that doesnt go to the teams locker room and all that good stuff. King I already See. Quote
Bulldog92 Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 I think he didn't want any part of Pelini and knew what he was gonna do, so he stayed away. I think that will change now that he has Riley. Those two will be joined at the hip. Quote
