While Bo shouldn't have been fired (my grandmas turning over in her grave right now) any coach Nebraska hires needs to have a link to Texas. Texas is the golden pipeline and since leaving the Big 12 they don't have that link to get the players to go to Lincoln.

I think Pelini's probably right about Eichorst, but that's never a conversation that you have with impressionable young adults. The only person that should have heard those comments was Eichorst himself. 

 

Riley is the right guy to lead the healing process and he's done a good job keeping the recruiting class together, but I'm a little uneasy about what will happen on the field until I see the coaching and results for myself.

I think he didn't want any part of Pelini and knew what he was gonna do, so he stayed away. I think that will change now that he has Riley. Those two will be joined at the hip.
