leopard201, I understand you being a loyal supporter for your team but honestly I think your LG leopards are in for a rude awakening! I don't think ya'll have faced a defense quite like WOS! I don't understand your logic though, cause you said HJ opened up holes against WOS and ran through them but the score sure didn't reflect that so, I guess you will just have to wait and see for yourself. WOS DEFENSE always shows up! Should be a great game come Friday night, safe travels to everyone!

Mustangs have given up more than 21 once all year, 27 to PNG and that was all in the first half. They adjusted at halftime, clamped down and came back and won in OT. 5A PNG averaged 40+ a game and was probably the best passing attack WOS saw all season with a healthy ground game. After witnessing what I did last week I see a much improved D from the PNG game that I would be shocked if a primarily run heavy team like LG could dismantle. Not saying cant happen, just that it would be a shocker and I'd give serious props to that team. I know LG fans keep saying "we can pass we just haven't had to all season", but I'm telling you that the WOS secondary is not who you want your QB cutting his teeth on. A lot of teams this time of year find out the hard way that you can't just turn on an effective passing game thats been dormant against fourth round defenses.
Good Luck to both teams. Really looking forward to seeing young Mr. Dobbins against that WOS D. Should be great entertainment no matter the outcome

I agree, we are much improved since the PNG game and I honestly believe since the HJ game. Dobbins is a great back, but they will have to pass the ball significantly to beat us.

He can run for over 200 as long as we win by 1!

I could be wrong, but my father was telling me a story last week about the state rushing record being put on us in the '86 semi-finals. We won that game then the very next week in the SC, their back(Mckinney) broke the record of the rb from the previous week?? Is that correct?

HJ is our common opponent. If #12 for HJ looks like he ran for over 100 yards, Dobbins is going to run 200 yard's on WOS. I see a few wrinkles in that WOS defense

All defences have "wrinkles". The question is can he get to that wrinkle with defenders in the backfield. Wos doesnt aligator arm tackle...they wrap up. Most of the runs LG had last week, a HJ player hit him in the backfield. Very frustrating to watch.

I believe his name was Randy Simmons. I could be wrong he was a beast

Wasn't it Edwin Simmons? I knowhe went to the University of Texas. Big kid, ran straight up sorta Eric Dickerson style. I was at that game.

You can not compare HJ against lagrange to when hj played WOS. I was at the Hj and lagrange game and Hj looked like a total different team against lagrange. A lot better , but us (WOS) has also gotten a lot better. Remember this is HS FOOTBALL, anything can happen on any day. Throw out all the records and everything. Whoever prepared themselves this whole week will win this ball game.
My prediction will remain the same my school by 2tds but friday is just tomorrow!
