#1 Alabama is in a dogfight
#2 Oregon is rolling
#3 Florida St looked mediocre (again)
#4 Mississippi St loses, and is done
#5 TCU looked great against UT
#6 OSU played a close game against Michigan, and lost their Heisman hopeful QB
#7 Baylor looked average in a nail biter against TT
#8 UCLA got curbstomped by Stanford
#9 Georgia lost to Georgia Tech, ending their shot at squeaking in if things lined up right, which could've happened with the SEC bias.
#10 Michigan St beat up Paterno U

If Bama loses tonight, the final four will get really interesting, especially if Ohio St loses the Big 10 championship without their starting QB next week against Wisconsin, which would not shock me at all. could end up with two 1-loss big 12 teams, Oregon and FSU. wouldn't that be amazing if ZERO SEC teams make it in?

Seriously, if Bama loses tonight, how do they put an SEC team in the final four? Champion or not?

Bama would probably drop to #6 so they need help in front of them.

-Wisconsin will be favored to beat Ohio St.
-Arizona has already beaten Oregon once
-Baylor has a tough game with K-State
- Georgia Tech will give FSU all they can handle
-TCU gets Iowa State. TCU will be in

Bama needs to drop farther than 6th.  that's about where they ended up after the 1st loss.  2 loss bama is a different animal.  you can't just keep dropping them 4 or 5 spots when they lose and keep them in contention just because they're bama.

4, 8, & 9 lost

Michigan St and Arizona are 10 & 11 that may jump Bama but I doubt it

Arizona should, IMO.  they beat their ranked opponent.  of course, this is all hypothetical.  Bama is only 6 points down, with a LOT of time left.

It'll be interesting if at some point you end up with two teams in the top 4 from the same conference ranked 1 and 4 or 2 and 3 facing off in the playoffs, with a conference guaranteed a spot in the finals. Surely it's bound to happen eventually. You can't switch seeds around to avoid it because then you punish someone by giving them a tougher matchup.
