DEWEYVILLE — The Deweyville Lady Pirates continue to find ways to nab close victories as they pulled out a 49-46 overtime home victory against the Anahuac Lady Panthers Friday night in District 24-2A play in Pirate Gym.

Senior Tera Gibson powered the Lady Pirates (12-12, 6-4) with a double-double, scoring 15 points while grabbing 11 rebounds. Krista Goleman had a team-high 16 points to pace the offense while Amanda Vincent snared eight rebounds and Emily Carter collected seven.

Angel Hopkins led Anahuac with a game-high 23 points while teammate Diana Hinson added 14.

The Lady Pirates face a pivotal road game Tuesday when they visit Buna.
