Best playoff venue

Went to NRG and then to UH this weekend. Both were great places to watch football. My only mistake was parking in the garage at UH. It took forever to get moving after the game. Other than that, those two venues were awesome. Hope that I get to check out the New Caney stadium soon.

AT&T Stadium...and as soon as Frisco ISD gets their 25,000 seat dome built its obviously going to be the best one in the state.

Greatest high school stadium in the state. It was 30 years ago and still is today. 10,000 on home side, 10,000 on visitor...saw Highland Park and Everman play there in '08. It was 13 degrees with at least a 100mph wind outta the north. The fountain to the north of the stadium was an ice sculpture

I like it better than Ratliff and WF Memorial Stadium, I could throw in Shotwell but every game I been to there has been memorable.

As far as smaller school stadiums in the early rounds, I really liked Huffman.

All mentioned are very good Stadiums. For high school and HS only, W.W. Thorne is one of the top HS venues. IMO.

IMO, NRG is horrible for a HS game.....takes away the "Closeness" to the game. Guess I'm old school....Tully and Rice Stadiums are great playoff venues.

I don't want to get on a rant about Woodforest, but just before I walked in they made two little girls, about 5 and 8, dump their Icee's they tried to walk in with.

 

I stared at the person at the gate, and said "Really? Do you think the girls Icee's were a danger to anyone?"

 

They silently point to the restrictions sign, with their long list on it. I was ticked at Woodforest and I felt bad for the little girls.   :angry:

I walked in....had to empty my pockets....I had a pack of gum. I was told "Sir, you can't bring that gum in here"....so I said "well, Ok, I'll just OPEN the gum, chew it....problem solved"....I was then told "Sir, you must chew the gum before you enter the stadium, it's not allowed, chew it, Swallow it, or toss it in the trash"

Thats really sad. Its pretty clear Woodforest does not really welcome the fans. I hope the awesome New Caney stadium hosts as many playoff games as they possibly can. EVERYONE loves New Caney!
