COACH ALVAREZ BACK AT STATE!!!

Recommended Posts

After broadcasting Kirbyville games for several years while Alvarez was there he was known to pull out the old hook and ladder.  It was always thrown to a split out wideout and the RB would be on a wheel route to take the pitch from the WR.  However, the formation that they ran the H&L from in this game was a thing of beauty.  Pass to the TE on a 5 yard stop amongst the LB's and then the toss to the RB coming underneath on a drag was well designed.  Couldn't help but laugh as the play developed on a 3 & 19.  Talk about gutsy and that is Jack.  I remember when he was in his first few years at Kirbyville that he ruffled feather as it seems he did at Ennis but in no time he had the entire town invested into what he was selling.  Great guy and coach and couldn't be happier for him, Vanya and Ted Williams....both left K-ville with him for Ennis.  Also saw his old OC and now K-ville HC Neece on the sideline rooting on his good friend.  I thought people said the wing T wouldn't work in a big school....
