Lowrider Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Personally, I haven't seen Gilmer play so I won't comment on them except that they have an excellent record. Some posters seem to feel that Gilmer is unstoppable and will put up 40+ points on the Mustangs. I don't see that happening if the Mustangs play up to their full potential. As stated before, it is all about matchups. So, throw all of those records and points out the window and let's settle this Friday at noon. I'm sure both teams will be ready and both will bring it. Remember these words: "On Any Given Day, Anything Is Possible". The Stangs have talent, heart, determination and have proven to be a very resilient team. So, Let's Get Ready To Rumble !!! #1stangfan, wos_112% and previs 3 Quote
kicker Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 I'll be there to watch this one in person :) may have to go get me a Mustang t-shirt. Any idea on where I could get one?? Im sure we can get you one or 20. lol Quote
badndn Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Looks like Gilmer enjoys running up the score. I'd argue WOS played the tougher schedule. Two good playoff 5A teams, a possible state champion 3A, a three round 4A regional power and three other teams that where in the top ten rankings when they faced WOS (of course they dropped out the next week :) Nobody, not even Gilmer would drop 80, 70, 60 or even 50 points on any of those opponents. skipper 1 Quote
td Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 I appreciate all of the predictions from leopardfan. That being said not sure about your credibility. You thought the Leopards would beat WOS and we Donkey Stomped y'all. That is all! Morris_era, Gasilla, previs and 1 other 4 Quote
chukslegacy Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 The Stangs have shown heart this season, Coach T has them focus on the end Goal of a State Championship! These kids ain't skeered! This will no doubt be a shoot out! Much respect to Gilmer but you better pack a lunch cause these kids from WOS ain't laying down! WOS by 7. Quote
Guest MTJ Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Really hoping the Stangs keep it close and make something happen because I'd love to see the trophy come back to SETX. My head says Gilmer by 20 though. Good luck Stangs !!!! Quote

Everyone will say we have no chance next week. They average 90 points a game, their o linemen run a 4.4 forty, yada yada. Well I sure hope they go into this game thinking it will be a cake walk. WOS is on a mission and will finish it. ladybug33, chukslegacy and LND09 3 Quote
ladybug33 Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Someone said in an earlier post that it's all about match ups, this is true. If they have a QB like Sinton, then maybe I may say we are in for a battle, but if he (QB) is just average, I like our chances. Quote

Tyler's scramble ability is the difference. Quote
wosgrad-84 Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 I say bring on gilmer. After what witnessed last night I believe our team has the heart to win after being behind early. Bring on that two headed buckeye monster. We have a very special group that I believe can WIN no matter the odds against them. GO MUSTANGS. I will see y'all in Dallas baby! Quote
Eagleborn Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Gilmer lowest point output is 41 twice, one against Tatum and one against Gladewater, two deep teams........... Two THREE deep teams. Quote
Eagleborn Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 yelp and hj handled Tatum with ease sooo Oh let's play that game. Tatum handled Newton with ease, Newton toyed with WOS. Quote

But Gilmers offense is not as vertical.... 5 yard passes turned into 55 yard TDs. But Gilmers other QB is alright. Quote
Guest Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Interesting match up. Gilmer will be the first team that WOS has played with as much or more speed than WOS. I will be able to watch this one. I am going to sit with the WOS folks. Could go either way with an edge to Gilmer. Quote

kicker Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Give me the Stangs, 8-7. Huh? LOL! Quote
wo-s#1 Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Oh let's play that game. Tatum handled Newton with ease, Newton toyed with WOS.in case u not aware Newton will be playing for a state championship next week so I guess u know what I'm saying now right Quote
wo-s#1 Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 I was simply implying, Tatum not as good as usual Quote
kicker Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Oh let's play that game. Tatum handled Newton with ease, Newton toyed with WOS. Yes, Newton beat us but in no way "toyed" with us. Newton will even tell you that. Wont find much more respect for each other between two teams than WOS/Newton. Quote
Bugatti Posted December 13, 2014 Report Posted December 13, 2014 Not fair for a 4A Team to have 2 All-Americans. Man they're good. Quote
