badndn Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 So if Seattle wins tonight over Arizona, and wins next week as well and the Boys stay hot on the road and beat Wash., the Cowboys get a first round bye and possibly home field. Go Hawks!!!! Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

Go Hawks!!!! I don't think they can get home field. The winner of the Packer-Lions game will be the 1 seed unless Arizona somehow wins out. Arizona has Seattle and San Fran left and probably should lose both. If that happens and Dallas wins, they will be the 2 seed and get a bye. As of now Dallas would match up with Seattle in the 1st round which would be tough. Quote
STiger85 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 Dallas can get home field advantage, if Dallas wins out and Arizona loses last two games and Detroit loses one of their last two games. It could happen. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
PhatMack19 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 Dallas can get home field advantage, if Dallas wins out and Arizona loses last two games and Detroit loses one of their last two games. It could happen. Detroit only has 1 game left and its against the Packers. Both teams are 11-4 and tied with the Cowboys. Winner of their game wins the North and finishes at 12-4. Both teams have the tiebreaker over Dallas which is conference record. Detroit 9-2, GB, 8-3, Dallas 7-4 against the NFC. Assuming Arizona loses both games(they are down 21-6 right now and have San Fran next week) and Dallas wins next week, the Detroit/GB winner would be the 1 seed and Dallas #2 Quote

Az will be 1 if Detroit wins, Detroit 2, Dallas 3 Az will be 2 if GB wins, GB 1, Dallas 3 The worst Dallas can do is the 3 seed and the NFC South shouldnt be allowed to have a team in the playoffs with those terrible records. Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 AZ aint winning tonight after what Beastmode just did Quote
PhatMack19 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 AZ aint winning tonight after what Beastmode just did They are losing 28-6 now. San Fran should beat them next week unless the team just quits on Harbaugh as he is walking out the door to Michigan. Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 Sherman just helped us I guess lol Quote
PhatMack19 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 Nvm it looks like Seattle is in 1st place now. There are too many tiebreakers to deal with. Strength of victory? Win % vs common opponents, and conference win % A first round matchup with Arizona would be nice though if that could happen. http://espn.go.com/nfl/standings/_/type/playoffs Quote
PhatMack19 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 Dallas can clinch a bye if Seattle and Arizona both lose Or Dallas wins & GB and Detroit tie Otherwise they are stuck in the 3 seed. There are currently 5 teams with 11-4 records and Dallas isn't winning many tiebreakers. Quote
STiger85 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 So head-to-head does not matter? Quote
PhatMack19 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 So head-to-head does not matter? It does if only 2 teams are tied. If more than 2 they use all kind of crazy tiebreakers. Quote
jordibug15 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 Just thought I would let y'all know that my Dallas Cowboys are in the playoffs(: Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
Ty Cobb Posted December 22, 2014 Author Report Posted December 22, 2014 AT&T Stadium was very loud yesterday! The loudest that I can remember. I'm usually very critical of the fans but not yesterday. The fans stood and cheered at the right times and the COWBOYS actually had a home field advantage. It reminded me of good ole TEXAS STADIUM. Go COWBOYS!!! JWB and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote
